Jaffar focus

I'm usually not this indecisive and it's really a logic vs nostalgia battle going within me.

I like Jaffar as a character the most in the blazing blade series and have sacrificed Takumi and 4 others for him already.

With a +def -hp he's functional with close counter but part of me is wondering if I should try for a +att roll?

Logically I know he will probably never see any actual use, but I just want him to be in decent shape just in case dagger users gets a buff or I'm hoping the game developers are realizing dagger and staff rarely gets used in arena and change stuff around.

I'm being illogical aren't I... or maybe I'm just hoping someone will just tell me to snap out of it and save the orbs for something more practical.

I mean if you give him poison dagger he's pretty good on an offensive team.. I invested a lot into my Elise bc she's one of my favorites, and with recent buffs with healers, it looks like it might pay off for me.

The whole point of this game and skill inheritance is to use the characters you want, and trying to find a way to make them good. I 5* my Sharena back in early February and as the meta has moved around it's worked out great for me.

There's always a way to make your character at least viable, for example threaten spd/def on him would greatly increase damage potential, and poison dagger would allow him to chunk a large amount of hp from half the units. Combined with ardent sacrifice and vantage, would probably be able to kill most infantry units with ease, barring a few counters, who you could build your team around. I'd just play around with the damage calc a little bit, and see what you can come up with.

I wouldn't summon unless you have >70 orbs or so though. I dont think the better IV's would be worth it otherwise

Jaffar is someone I've really wanted to use too! His weapon is so darn cool and can provide a ton of utility for your team. The problem was always keeping him upright when attacking ranged or distant counter units, or units that run Vantage after doing some chip damage.

I was ecstatic when I pulled a Bridal Lyn yesterday. With her Candlelight ability I'll be able to freely attack more units after I debuff them with Lyn's weapon. I haven't decided if I want to use Seal Attack or Poison Strike for his B slot, but I am really looking forward to seeing how this new unit impacts his viability. I also want to put Savage Blow on a couple of units to really spread the AOE damage!

I know this doesn't really get to your question, but my point was that this game will continue to evolve and if you experiment enough, you can most certainly find ways to make your characters work for you. I get tired of just going full mongo LOL one shot meta teams. I enjoy finding new ways to play.
