Jaffar, Desperation or Wrath?

Quick question, do you guys think I should just stick with Desperation on my Jaffar, especially since it works wonders with a dancer combo, makes him impervious to everyone outside of powerful vantage users. Or should I give up my Nephenee for Wrath on him?

I mean, I like Nephenee, but I don't think I'll ever have space for her on any team of mine, too many other blue units to make use of that I personally find better or they at least work better in my team comps. Her Wrath would really help Jaffar out too since his attack is lower, being a dagger unit, so give him Moonbow and Fury and he'll be shredding through people. I just don't know if it's necessary since I run a dancer with him AND Desperation is so damn effective as well! lol

What do you guys think? Stick with Desperation and keep my Nephenee for a rainy day? Or is Wrath strong enough to warrant giving her and Desperation up?

Wrath is the most effective on Brave weapon users, and Lyn, who has Desperation built into her sword.

My personal preference here is for a +Spd/-Res Lyn to be running Wrath (mine is unfortunately +atk/-res) as it will easily fix her attack issue by turning her 49 (if using L&D) into 59 plus the bonus when she uses Moonbow (average of +8-12) on one of her 2 attacks, ensuring that she ca kill nearly anyone as a result. Also I just like Lyn.

I can likely assume your Jaffar has a speed boon for his Desperation to be working so well? And in this case, especially if you are dancing him and he is applying his Dagger's def/res penalty and the 7 points true damage, there's no way you should find Wrath to be necessary for him at all.

Yeah he has +spd and I've merged him twice and got spd both times, so with him supported and with Fury his speed is 43, so I also put a speed seal on him to even it out at 44 lol

And those are some good points, thnx for the insight, you've effectively saved my Nephenee lol xD

I knew mages, cavalry, and fliers units wouldn't be able to use this, but there seems to be a heavy amount of restrictions on this.

I figured ranged infantry would be able to utilize this, but hmm, talk about lame... This ability seems to only fit sword master units and burst damage attackers. Next thing you know...

You'll only be able to use this on the day of February 29th
At midnight
On a rainy day
When it's only a full moon
And the planets align with each other
And the pope offers a toast
and you dance
While holding a glass of water
on the top of your head.

I think that's the requirements for Wrath at this point. Someone tell me if I got this wrong. D:

Lol, yeah I agree that its requirements are kind of strict. And you forgot that you have to do all that on a cheetah's back. Then it should be all the requirements fulfilled.

The requirements are strict in order to prevent the use of the skill on high powered emblem teams (I'm looking at you QP/Moonbow Reinhardt) and to continue to do what they can to help infantry remain relevant in a meta dominated by horses. I can only assume that's that case, anyways.

Yeah, I actually appreciate them actively making introductions to help equalize the meta, without going ahead and retroactively nerfing units like Reinhardt. Same case with Steady Breath, which also would've been awesome on some already great Cavalry units like Xander, Camus, and to a lesser extent Michalis and such. That said, I am sad I can't make my OP Wrath Sonya :(
