Jaffar B slot

I’ve had jaffar ever since his release banner, +hp -spd. I got a +hp -attack jaffar a bit after and used him as fodder for life and death 3 (gave it to brave axe legion, probably a mistake but that’s a problem for a different time.)

I finally summoned nino (don’t ask why it took me this long to get her despite me playing since release.) and I wanted to build a team based around the black fang, being jaffar, nino, Lloyd (still needs to be leveled), and an Ursula I got from her recent return. With these teammates, what would be a good B slot for jaffar? Or just jaffar in general, I benched him ever since I got my 5 Star saizo since he just sets up sweeps so much better

it would be a good idea to go with watersweep and run phantom spd 3 seal. this set works great with savage blow. A few mages do go over 48 spd with buffs which makes it risky to run on jaffar without any speed buffs himself so you could opt to go with windsweep because meele units with DC dont usually reach over 45 speed without merges and with buffs unless there is a lot of spur/drives going on or it is a movement centric team like calvary or armor but watersweep is currently more easily accessible.

Well for starters, a -spd Jaffar is quite bad, it's likely the worst possible bane to get on him, so you won't be able to make much use of him at all.

And that's coming from a guy who's put a ridiculous amount of time into my own Jaffar to actually make him Tier 20 viable lol

But anyways, you really have two options. The first being running Windsweep on him so you can safely chip targets down to easier to kill HPs for your other units. The problem with that is that you have a -spd Jaffar, meaning unless you use the Phantom Speed seal on him he likely won't be activating the ability on many of the units he'd need this ability for anyways. So you could run Poison Strike 3 to try and chip enemies down even further, and the extra damage might make up for his loss of spd, but he's not the tankiest of units by a long shot and he needs to survive to apply the poison, so a lot of units will just kill him if he tries to attack them.

The other option is the one I'm running and I personally think it's a better choice even though less people use it.... Seal Atk 3!!! It basically makes it so with his legendary dagger he will do -7 to atk, def, and res. This makes it so your other units will almost always be able to kill ANY unit that your Jaffar attacks and survives against.

Take that with a grain of salt ofc, I have +5 on my Jaffar with the summoner support and an attack+3 seal with his LnD 3, meaning his stats are 49/42/24/24 (with +res as his boon, cause it helps him survive mages quite well). That's obviously better then any average Jaffar will be so I can't say how effective Seal Atk would normally be, but it's made him an absolute monster for me on my team. It's even made my defensive team a nightmare to face apparently, judging on how my defensive wins sky-rocketed once I started running him with this.

So yeah, I'd say run either of those two options, a dagger unit who's sale purpose is to chip targets down to a more easily killable range, or a dagger unit who's main purpose is to just flat out cripple his targets so you others one's can clean them up easily.

Well, I have been working around jaffar too as it is one of my fav units and if you jaffar is -spd, you can try giving him the new combo of desesperation+brash assault seal. With this setup he is able to "oneshot" almost every mage once he gets under 50% hp, which is the hard part.

Man, is hard to make jaffar viable outside the poke-tactics builds... IS didn't make justice to what he was in his game...
