It's about time. - staying in Tier 20?

I've eagerly played since relaese and admit to have spent quite some money on the game. I went through good and bad (does anyone else remember the early months with almost no content for days?) with this game and more than once thought about quitting, but never did. I just love the FE franchise too much to quit an "All-Star" FE game because of being salty.
But now to the important stuff: Since I have gathered quite an amount of highly merged units until now and built a core Team I feel proud of (gameplay and nostalgia-wise), there is nothing left for me to do except for finally attempting to STAY in Tier 20 in Arena.

So to everyone out there, who managed to stay in T20: How many points does one need to have nowadays to stay in T20 and do you think that it would be possible without a full Armored Team on +10? I don't care if I'd have to +10 my other units, but a full Armored Team is just such a drag to get through a deathless run most of the time...

This was asked around a week ago, and the most convincing reply I heard was that a few 732 matches with a 730 here or there is the minimum to stay in T20 except during water season, when you'll need an extra 4-6 points.

Lu Bu stays in T20 without using armours, so it's definitely doable. You can even stick a ranged unit in there if you have a Nowi or higher BST unit and some high-scoring skills around.

This week and last week it seems like the scores are a little bit lower even. I think because there are no good bonus units besides Camilla. I am ranked at 4,320 right now (5,117 to stay) with a score of 3,622. That's less than 725 on average. I'll probably get pushed out of the top 30% over the weekend, but I can get a higher score if I burn some swords. I am thinking 726-730 should keep you in tier 20 this week.

3622 will not be enough. Try to get 730+ scores or as close as you can to guarantee a spot in the top 30%.

I try to average about 732 and I can stay in. Currently, I run an all earth team with +10 of Ike, Eirika, and Nowi, with the 4th unit as the bonus unit. Overall, I stay in most weeks with this. I have a +8 Bike I’m trying to finish up that will replace Eirika.

My current Team consists of a +10 Eirika, +8 Myrrh, +0 L!Ephraim and a free slot for a Bonus unit which currently is a +0 L!Hector.
I do have a +10 Raven tho, so I could potentially switch out Ephraim during non-Fire Seasons.
I'm glad I don't have to run a full Armored/ Dragon Team :D

P.S.: I should start +10-ing a Blue unit to swap in for Ephraim I guess.

You don't need a full armored team to stay in tier 20, i aim for at least 732 points for match and i have no armored in my team comp, which is

As you can see i even have a mage and manage to stay in tier 20, i'm building up a +10 Raven to be on the safe side

I don't like Nowi all that much, but I could merge Effie up to have a +10 of each colour ready :D

The cutoff is typically between 3650 to 3660. There have been a few weeks where it was much higher, but the depending factor is what the bonus units are. The week when Fjorm, Zelgius, and Effie were in, the cutoff was 3662 week 1 and around 3670 week 2. The lowest I have seen it recently is about 3644 a couple weeks ago. If you can average 730+ per round, you have a good chance to stay. Anything under that and you may drop.
