Is it just me or...?

Have there been a lot of FEH YouTubers lately making videos like "Is FEH Dying?" Or "Top 5 Reasons Why FEH is Failing"? I just came back from a break so I have no idea how the game is doing rn, so I just wanna ask: *is* FEH dying?? Didn't they just break a sales record or something? Did I come back to the game at a bad time!?

I've enjoyed the game for the most part but I do agree that some of the game modes do feel like chores now... I just wanna see the game succeed cause I love Fire Emblem so much as a whole.

its just been kinda dry lately i guess and arena hasnt been helped out at all considering IS is kinda forced to roll out the duel skills as a "fix" considering all the gacha culture or whatever in japan

This happens with practically every game that gets a "content drought". The same thing happened with Warframe and its YouTubers.

The game was in a similar state around this time last year. Update 3.0 is right around the corner so I'm staying positive.

I have high hopes for 3.0, but I feel like IS is going to screw over the older units with new power creep that favors Armors. Since that is that is the way that most of the strongest players are going.

Sales in these games don't always affect success in terms of content. As long as there are units to pull for, especially waifus, people will whale for them. That is where the money comes from.

The problem is that Heroes has been in a content drought for some time now, and this hurts to say since I still really like Heroes, but I can be realistic about it too:
- Forging Bonds is nice but it's a grindfest, Grand Conquests is short, Voting Gauntlets are feather generators, Tab Battle is unique but there's no worth in replaying it, except for a fast-ish HM grind, and Relay Defense needs to dial its enemy stats down a notch or two. Tempest Trials are the only consistently good rotating mode we have, between the marathon challenge and plethora of rewards.
- The story is also very bare bones in terms of writing and gameplay. We get a couple short maps per chapter and that's it.
- The Arena meta is predictable and the scoring system has gotten worse.
- They've been all over the place with alts. Sometime we get good game representative distribution. Sometime we get a gender equal ratio on the banners, but then they go back to repeating problems.
- There's also been uneven representation with regular units, but we just got a notification that Binding Blade and Radiant Dawn, the most requested games aside from Echoes, are getting banners early next year, so at the very least they acknowledged the problem.

At this point, the contents of the 3.0 update is looking to be very pivotal to people's interest going forward.

IMO, Tempest Trials is the only event in their rotation that I look forward to at all.
I was disappointed in book 2 how the story kept being like, "Fight them! Oh wait, they got away!" for chapter after chapter, with no actual story progression happening.
Yeah, some of us (those of us who prefer to collect husbandos rather than waifus) are getting annoyed with the decrease in male characters being offered. Banner after banner of 3 women and one guy--especially in seasonals, which are the ones I care most about--really starts to make me feel less positive about spending any more cash on the game.
