Is it just me or...?

...is the arena matching system kinda weird? In this battle, Camus and Xander are +1, Reinhardt is +8 (like whut?!) and Gunter is 4☆+10 as you can see. NONE of my units are merged and they are all lvl 40 (enemy units are all lvl 40 too). This is in Advanced and I'm in Tier 18 (maybe this has smth to do with it idk).
This also happens to me a lot in Arena Assault but I don't know if the matchup system is meant to be like that...
Update: I lost the battle and Xander has 1 HP left ;u;

How many points are you predicted to make?

I usually get over 4k pts, but this was my first match this season.

The arena uses BST, SP cost, and skill rarity (5* exclusive or not) to determine who you get paired up against

That's to balance teams. Reinhardt is a mage and scores low because of that, +8 merges make his BST go significantly higher by adding extra points in stats. The same with Gunter, a 4*+10 stats are the same as a 5* so he was like a 5*+5. Then you add to the calculations skills and their SP cost.

You have a pretty heavy team (Legendary Weapons, higher cost skills, and Aether I’m assuming) and Cavalry units will need a lot of merges to score the same since they have lower BST and probably not a lot of expensive skills.

I run into the same thing all the time with a team similar to yours.
