is it a good idea to snipe on the legendary banner?

on november 27 i plan to snipe on the banner, specifically red and green orbs. im trying to get another ike to replace my -atk one and i also want to get spring camilla to complete my flyer emblem team. i also consider getting colorless for bridelia but she requires a lot of investment to make her the monster she is now. but im also hearing from some sources that sniping might not be the best idea on this banner because theres a chance you may be missing out on a 5* on the color youre not focusing on. any opinions are welcome.

Sniping on this banner probably isn't going to be the best way to go. There is 12 heroes total (3 of each color) on this banner so even with the 8% pull chance your odds of landing the specific hero that you're after without getting pity broken aren't very good. The only way this will change is if they decide to break up the 12 into 3 separate banners so as to balance it out. IS has never had more than 4 heroes on any single banner to date but that doesn't mean there isn't a first time for everything (just look at what they did with Ayra). Long story short is it's probably better to forgo sniping this time around and just see what you get.

I agree with the point overall, but I do want to mention that they’ve done more than 4 units in the Siblings banner and I believe a few others as well, they’ve just never done less than 3.

It’s highly likely that they’ll put all of them in one banner because there aren’t any other 5 star pity breakers.

Essentially, what the legendary banner is doing is removing any pity breakers. You'll still get the usual hordes of 3 and 4 stars, and it'll most likely take longer than usual to summon a 5* since there is such a limited pool of them. Sniping wouldn't be a good idea, unless you have a LOT of orbs, like around the 500s. Just do the full summoning, which saves orbs in the long run and raises your pity rate faster.

This is the one banner where I'm not planning on sniping anything at all. There are characters I want in every color and even the characters I don't want are very valuable as skill fodder. I often run into the problem of running out of quality fodder. 20k feathers is a high price for some skills.

In general, from a statistical stand point, it is better not to snipe on this event but quantity.

Ye if the point is to get all the 5* u can get then yes ur better off not sniping but if u want heroes that are good regardless of ivs or that have good skill fodder then sniping for green and red is the best option.

In my experience, I have found sniping to be the best practice. You simply get more chances at getting the unit you want. Even if there is potentially a 5* unit, there is no guarantee it is one you want. However, if there are units in each color that you want, go for every color then and snipe when you only have units in 3 or fewer colors that you want.

Also, I'm kinda surprised that everyone is assuming Fjorm is going to be on the banner. I'm thinking it will be more likely that she will be another "one of a kind" unit like the Askr trio, or now Askr quartet.

Uumm... both the streaming and the bulletin board tell you she's on the banner. You get one for free for completing Chapter 1 of Book II, yes, but she's also summonable. Also, if she's included, there's 3 heroes of each color on the banner.

Well sniping is best for getting individual units, but on this banner, you have a higher chance of getting a 5* overall, but you actually have a lower chance to get any individual 5*. For this banner, it's best just to do full summons.
Also, IS explicitly stated that Fjorm would be summonable on the banner
