Issue with Sorens new weapon

Hey guys, i have a question to ask regarding Heroes that get new weapons. I have only this month startet to merge my 5* Soren into a 4*+6 one, so here is my question: Am I fucked?

As in: Do I need to get another 5* Soren to get that new weapon for him, or is there a chance my 4*+6 is allowed to learn it, as there is technically already a 5*-version inside him?

I am fucked, aren't I ._.

It will probably only be learnable by a 5* Soren, my main question is why would you ever fuse a 5* into a 4* variant for the +1 upgrade?

His reason might be because the investment into getting a +1-ing a 5* star Soren is very heavy. 4*+10 Soren is equivalent to 5*+5 Soren.

Technically you're getting a feather 'discount' for upgrading for each merges, so it's not a complete loss since the only thing you're missing out is a couple of watersweep 2 and fortify res 3 fodders.

I am pretty sure you can merge a 5 star one into a 4 star to get the prf weapon. I've once seen a screenshot of a 4 star Eliwood with Durandal.

I think he ALREADY fused him into his 4 star one. so he does have the 5* weapon soren already had, but he wont be able to unlock the new weapon that will be added to soren since that weapon will now be added behind a 5* lock for the 4 star version.

Now that is a problem. He is fucked, sadly.

Your not fucked per say, because your Soren will still have access to his refinement if he is either promoted or if you fodder a 5 star Soren into him. This essentially comppunds the issue of 4* merging which is that it gives you a strong unit fairly cheap and quickly but in the long run you limit the power cap or you end up pouring even more investment in. than just slowly merging at 5*.

Yep, you would need to get another 5 * Soren to get the new weapon, on the bright side, it'll be another merge. :p

I had a similar issue where I summoned a soren on the PA! banner and broke a 6% pity rate. I was pretty upset and then I fed him to Jaffar for watersweep, only to find out later that the deathly dagger would get that upgrade but better. Now I'm missing out on this too.
