Interesting (infantry) Ephraim Build

I was looking through old topics because someone asked a shield pulse question and I came upon an amazing idea. (So, not my idea originally.) It's kind of marginal, if you ask me, but actually kind of legit, especially on a good IV.

Ephraim +atk -spd (+def is also good)
Siegmund+eff
(some assist)
Pavise?!
Sturdy blow
Shield pulse
Def wave
Heavy blade
Stats during player phase without C-skill: 58/22/36/20

So the point is: if he gets hit to his def with 46 neutral atk or less, pavise + shield pulse means he takes no damage. With def wave, it's 52. He has enough attack for a galeforce build (just not the spd). The cooldown looks like this:

Start of battle: 1
Attack: charged.
Get hit: 3
Attack: 1
Repeat.

So the theory is he keeps his health high enough to preserve Siegmund's doubling effect? Actually that's pretty neat, I like it.

I remember at one point trying to figure out if a Galeforce build would be possible on him with Sturdy Blow and Renewal, but given that Renewal isn't exactly an insta-heal, he could only reliably attack and retreat with it; attacking twice wouldn't always be an option. (There's always the possibility of using Flame Siegmund, I suppose, but given its own doubling requirements I think L!Ephraim is just a massively better candidate.)

That might not be so bad, actually, if you use heavy blade sol. You can maybe pick up between 10 and 15 HP on the second strike, and if you add that to his def it's like he has 46-51 def, and then you're stacking renewal on it.

I wonder if this would work better on B!Ephraim. It seems the only real prerequisite for this set to work is a weapon that guarantees doubles. The only caveat would be that B!Ephraim is probably just better running Special Fighter in his b-slot.
