Interesting dilemma IS has imposed on AR enthusiasts
If you put a mythic blessing on a hero, they will never gain bonus stats outside AR. It's a trade-off.
Which, again, is a slight nudge to get people to whale even harder because now you "need" units dedicated to AR and units for every other mode (lol just work without the extra stats)

Well, I don't care too much about keeping track of blessings.
I care for the cool afterglow effect.
It's just annoying to keep switching around teams, and have them build to work with legendary heroes.
Anyway, on to the topic. I hope this means IS will double down on AR by making updates to it. Small and big.
If they can keep that up, it might have a good future. Arena isn't horrible, but I feel like it's in a state that it'll stay the same for a long time.
Keeping AR fresh is the key to keeping it alive.

What gets me is that they've made AR into yet another mode where how well you can do is determined almost entirely on how much you open your wallet for new banners.
Extreme case right now would be, single unit with blessing + some kind of support unit + 3 eirs, fully merged. Assuming a perfect game, that'd end up being 100 aether + 30 from the merge bonus, x30% = 173 aether for a win. Thats with just the single blessing. Once a second becomes available that'd end up more than doubling your score.*
Doesn't help that eir is hot garbage and would never be used outside of AR. Moot point for me tho. Even if she was something better than a crappy flying celica with a convoluted statline I wouldnt dream of blowing that kind of money on this dumb p2w non-sense
*Edit: nvm that math, misread the first bonus as being a % rather than a flat increase. Also wasnt accounting for the fact that eir probably counts as being blessed as well. Irregardless, your access to merged "mythic" heroes is going to be a huge factor in your score. Also one of the nice things about AR was that unlike arena you werent locked into using specific units because of scoring potential outside the bonus units (which you got to choose from and tbh is needed in order to create some variance from week to week). They literally just took a crap on that in the name of enticing whales

Due to how tiers work in this mode and 3000 places for top ranking reward I don't think this mode becomes primarily about spending. Yes, super-spenders will have a huge advantage and at the moment T21 is unreachable without some mythic help, but f2p still does fine in this mode.
Also, anyone familiar with S.Kagero or Kaze or even Felicia knows that Eir is anything but garbage. Especially with access to flier buffs. If she switches to desperation heavy blade (or maybe even if she doesn't), she's quite capable of destroying entire teams.
