Inherited skill inheriting

So I noticed that you can inherit skills that have already been inherited. My question is: would the SP amount still stack if I were to have one of my units inherit an inherited skill?

You will get the 'usual' bonus SP from merging depending on rarity but any left-over SP from the unit to be lost is not added to the unit inheriting. Only skills are inherited, not SP.
