Inheritance question

If I have a hero that gets an upgrade, whether it be by using Dew or Ore, and I merge that hero into one with better IVs, does the upgrade merge as well, or do I have to use more dew/ore?

for example, I have a Caeda with mediocre IVs (+res, -HP), and I hope to pull one with better IVs (+att/spd, -HP/Def). I need to know do I wait to upgrade her weapon because it won't follow to the newer hero, or do I upgrade it now so it can be used while I wait for the better IV version, and merge the weapon?

Merging a hero with refinement onto another copy of it will pass the refinement.

Has anyone does this to verify it works?

Yes I've done it with Est before. Refinements will pass from merging.

I have the same Caeda,

+res isn't bad, her glacies will hit harder, but the plus attack would be more valuable i think.

mine has L&D, but you're right

Can you also just inherent the base (5*) weapon and refine it on the new unit?
