Alright I understand why people would rather vote for Hector. Let me just say one thing: Stop being nitpicky with skills can we? If you have DC fodder, then good for you. If not, then it ain't the end of the world for you.
While Hector is nice L!Ike might win anyway because;
1. He's a legendary hero with the earth element, meaning we have a boost for those with the Earth blessing.
2. Him along with Gunnthra were not given for free despite Fjorm being given out for free and she's the legendary hero for the water blessing.
3. No one needs to f*cking summon on this "Legendary banner" with an 8% that never even feels like an 8%, hell you get better luck on 3%'s more like.
yeah, i really feel Vike might win, but we should really be voting for seasonal units or TT units that might not come back. PA! Azura just came back for the second time and there are still people that missed out on her, she IS the best singer in the game and she might not ever come back so it makes sense to vote for someone like her
Apparently IS posted something on Twitter today that L!Ike is currently the number 1 in terms of votes.
I have to admit that I also voted for him with all of my votes. Just because of all the units that were likely to win, he is the one I want the most. I don't need more Hectors or skill fodder in general atm.
(Please don't blame me for being "selfish" but this vote is meant to vote what YOU want to get, not what could benefit new players the most.)
I actually wanted to vote for Lyon, Valter or Joshua at first just because I want to merge them higher up but figured that they wouldn't be voted for by the broad majority anyways so I went with L!Ike. Even though we might never get another Joshua (as IS seems to rather give out more new TT units to please long-time fans with getting their oldshool characters (which is fine but also unfortunate for those who want to competetively use them) instead of old ones to merge up like they did with Masked Marth....twice....BK is the only one imo that's likely of getting a rerun tbh) which is a shame.... I really like him and would use him over my Eirika but my Eirika is +5 already wiht 2 4*s waiting to get upgraded and merged, I'd just lose too many arena points...
Why I think you shouldn't vote for L!Ike:
1) L!Ike will most likely be available in the next 2 legendary banners, given the pattern. It said in the announcements he will be available again sometime in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, limited units, especially ones that have been featured on past legendary banners like P!Azura or S!Camilla won't be back for a long time.
2) He's mediocre if you compare him to other units. Yes, he has DC on his sword, but I feel his res isn't high enough to utilise Warding Breath properly. He's better off with Steady Breath.
3) Warding Breath works only on select units, like Nowi. I feel season units with limited skills, like the W!Tharja's Vengeful fighter deserve a chance.
That being said, you can't make everyone happy. Let's hope not too much salt comes out of this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
