Dude you're not alone. Opposed to the characters from Book 2. These characters already have more backstory, are more fleshed out (at this current point), and even have cooler designs for sure.

You are not the only one. He looks really cool. Even if he ends up as garbage, I would still love to have him.

Ah, a person of culture I see. Lif looks like he means business lmao. His art, especially the design of his armor just makes me want to dump all of my 250 orbs right now... but based on Book II we're probably going to get a banner with the two Hel generals somewhere in November, sadly.

His weapon is definitely good, and I expect that he would function best solo like L!Ephraim or L!Eirika; and can be used with something like a solo skill. It might just be me, but I think three spaces is a little too much as it already takes up the majority of the map. Placement is going to be crucial when playing Lif, as he can get a teammate killed if you're not careful. But imagine him activating an HP threshold skill, like Vantage.

Expect nothing less of the first king. Soo cool!
