I'm out of the loop, am I the only one that thinks Surtr is way too OP/should be nerfed?
I haven't been looking at what people thought since his release. But this guy is ridiculous. Every other 'OP' character has never really given me an issue really. But with Surtr, even a team in Aether raid who's team is pretty badly formatted and not well/fully trained, can beat me just by having Surtr in their team. This seems like over-the-line powercreep to me. But what do others think?
edit: I'm already working on changing my team right now. My question is if people believe he's TOO MUCH of a powercreep.

Yeah, he's incredibly overpowered, if he doesn't have armour boots/march then you can't bait him so you need to attack him, but can't double due to Wary Fighter, so you need at least two hits to kill him (unless you're called Lilina). An awfully written character and a unit I'd prefer never existed for player to have.

I find him annoying, awfully so, but he's not broken levels of powercreep (that would be a unit that's stronger than Rein in levels of KO Potential, and that ain't happening anytime soon). The biggest issue is if he keeps his base kit. That does tend to be the case, though at times I've seen the heavy whales that +10 him give him armored boots and the likes like total nerds which neuters his weapon (and I'm glad they do this.
In short, youll need a pretty strong unit to take hits fromt aht fucker. Maybe even M!Robin with his spectrum Tactics just to counter his -4 to all stats.

Smart play can counteract his C skill and weapon effects, but he is EXTREMELY annoying. I usually don't have TOO much of a problem as I have H!Myrrh, but Sinmara is just annoying. I might try a dediacted anti-Surtr Lilina or Soliel. Right now, I think those two and HSummer Micaiah are your best bet. Also, Lilina may be able to one or two RKO, but I find that the reposition antics work pretty well. Found this Lilina in the arena doing quite well.

I agree to an extent in that a Surtr counter isn't that difficult to obtain (at least one that can easily defeat him before the Fortress stat inflation). What the problem is is that something so commonly occurring practically forces the player to forfeit a team spot, effectively destroying the personality and diversity that's "supposed" to come with the mode. The combination of meta complacency and the anti-meta complacency just saps the uniqueness and fun out of things when the mode ends up boiling down to hoping your copy cat counter team comp and the garbage AI allow things to go your way.
