I'm conflicted

The summer banner of this year really caught my interest and i was trying to summon for Cordelia. I reached a 5% pity rate and this morning i did a yolo summon on a blue stone, ending up summoning a 5 star unit. It was a +Spd -HP Linde. I'm actually not sure if i should be happy to have summoned Linde (my very first) or be pissed cause my pity rate is back to 3% and i'm F2P so i'll end up never summoning my summer wife and i'll be pissed about it like it happened with Bridelia (Yeah, i couldn't summon her even when she was in the B8% banner or the briadal return). Also i'd like tk know how should i build said Linde

I have the same problem, but I want TWO heroes of this banner instead one: Innes and Tana.

Maybe if im lucky I get one of them... I dont care if Tana or Innes...
Or maybe I dont get any 5* from this banner...
People usually cryes about Legendary banner but 8% is pretty higher than 3%. I know you can get a random hero between 3 options of every color, but keep being 8% and its easier you get SOMETHING.

3 or 4% is practically impossible...

Look, linde is very good and this are exceptional IV for her. She recently got and refine that is somewhat doubtful. There basically 2 ways to build her: Battle cleric and full throttle attacker.
With aura and breath of life (and seal) she can heal and deal quite the punch. you can build fury+desperation+breath of life and I think you enter desperation range even without getting hit.
the other is with her refine that'll grant her +5 atk/Spd near healers or mages. I never build her like this so can't help you there.
About the summoning breaker it sucks, but will happen a lot of times. at least that is a very good pitybreaker.

When summoning, one has to realize that just like in the mainline games, you are at the mercy of the Random Number Goddess. I've learned to take what she gives you, and you got a very good blue unit with very good IV's.

Her HP will be at a Low 32 which means that just about anything non-magical is going to all but kill her, but her speed is sky-high. Combined with her 49 atk with her Legendary tome, I'd recommend to capitalize on her high speed to maximize her damage output.

LnD boost her atk to 54 and her speed to 44 meaning that she'll double just about anybody though that means almost anyone can kill her in one round Swift Sparrow is a safer option since that doesn't lower her bulk and gives her some high attack and speed when she initiates combat-which she should always do instead of being attacked-while not hurting her bulk anymore than it does.

Though since getting LnD3 and Swift Sparrow is hard, you can go with Fury3 since that's easier to get. It will raise her atk to 52, and her speed to 42 while giving her more bulk. The damage she takes after combat can help her get into Desperation range quicker, and for her C slot and skill you can give her whatever, though I'd go for an atk 3/spd 3 seal. Refine her tome if you want, and give her a special with a low cooldown-Glimmer or Moonbow.

So to Summerize, Aura tome, Glimmer/Moonbow, LnD3/Swift Sparrow 2/Fury 3 for the A slot, Desperation 3 for the B slot, your C Slot of choice, and a Attack 3/ Speed 3 Seal

I would be happy. I’ve been pining for Linde since Day 1 since i like her but now that Ishtar pretty much power crept her i have no reason to go for Linde.

I had a really bad experience with Blue pity breakers once! Just be grateful your pity breaker was great and not the trash that is Ephraim or Ninian or Claire

Report

I'd still go for Linde since her new PRF weapon is kinda unique if you have a healer and another mage running with you, something Ishtar can't provide. Plus both their designs are awesome (and Lute's)

Clair is now in the 3* and 4* pool. Ninian is always welcome from me. And Ephraim is a freaking beast with the LnD Windsweep and Refined Siegmund combo, making him a huge threat (Also mine is +Spd -Res +2 merged)

I did a comparative study of the blue infantry mages. Linde competes with Ishtar for being the fastest, which is impressive. I do think Ishtar does have somewhat of an edge due to cooldown reduction; Linde has slightly better res so she can probably get a spd ploy off on a lot of melee units and lowish-res mages such as Merric, either infantry Tharja, or, funnily enough, Ishtar. That's probably the main trick she has up her sleeve, because annoyingly for Linde and Delthea, Ishtar actually has the physical bulk to withstand a DC counterattack. Well, maybe that and 6 crucial points of Ishtar's speed is only available on her own turn, whereas Aura refine is good on either phase so you might actually double Ishtar on your own turn and still block her double on her turn.

All of that to say, I recommend Aura refine. It can compete with the sheer firepower of blade tomes buffed by generic hones and fortifies (emblem buffs are too much, but Delthea and Tailtiu have no more access to those than Linde), especially because you get to keep your special (no cooldown penalty). Fury is the way to go if you want to ploy and have your speed on both phases; if you don't care for ploys, maybe L&D, but 32HP + 22 res is getting pretty thin, and with fury if there's some drive def around the team, she might actually survive one hit from a lance or blue lightning breath with ally support. 32HP + 20 def + ally support might do it if your counterattacker isn't Effie.
