If you could max-merge any 5* exclusive, who would you pick?

Among other reasons, I'm asking myself because I'm trying to clarify to myself a bit what I'm trying to accomplish in the game right now.

There aren't actually that many 5* exclusives that I'm that crazy about. B.Ephraim is a pretty attractive option, but I'm not that into armours and I wouldn't want to play him outside an armour or tactics team. Yeah, maybe on a tactics team. So maybe B.Ephraim.

Other candidates were Y.Tiki (regular), Hinoka, and Karla. Maybe Minerva or even Spring Alfonse, but for greens it's hard to beat armours and mages.

er...flexibility? What does she do other than block people's doubles with super def and then QR them to death?

Someone on my friend list has a 39 Spd Myrrh, but hasn't put it as the main unit in a while.

Dedication

Ryoma (regular) and Ninian would be my top picks. They may not be the most powerful units in the current meta-game, but they are both characters that I really like from their respective games and have carried me during my earlier days of Heroes.

Others would include Alm and Celica for similar reasons, but I still haven't summoned them at all despite playing since the game's launch. >.<

I get that feeling, Mia would be my top pick because she's my favorite character in the series. And hopefully Alm or Celica can return as a focus soon so you can get them. I wasn't able to get Mia until her return on the Luna banner so I hope you can break your lack of summoning them soon.

Although I myself haven't summoned Alm or Celica either. Just Fallen Celica and then I used my free pick on Brave Celica.

My fell Robin, my zephiel... Yeah, still limited somewhat.

Mia, she's my favorite FE character. But at least I have a +1 copy of her, opposed to not having any copy of her and being sad.

Others that would be cool to +10 for me would be Micaiah, Ishtar, Sigurd, and Elincia. I have a bit of a Tellius and Genealogy bias. And Binding Blade but Brave Roy is like the only non-seasonal 5* exclusive from that game. As technically Karel counts as Blazing Blade according to the catalogue. And I don't mind Brave Roy but Roy probably isn't even in my top 5 favorite characters from his own game.

Fjrom,she's my favorite and her stats are so well balanced allowing all most any ivs except -atk.

-atk is still barely doable if you ask me. All-in glacies

I’d say max out units that are at least decently strong in the meta and are sentimental to you if you have played the original fire emblem games. For me, I got Legendary Ike to plus 10, working on Brave Ike, and now gonna work on Brave Hector.

Legendary Hector, then Fjorm.
Legendaries are the only 5* exclusives I would consider +10, as their blessing boost allows my team more flexibility for arena scoring.

It would be L!Ike, but Legendary heroes are relatively easy to get, so I'll go with Micaiah. I finally got her a few weeks ago and have been using her a bunch. Other candidates would be W!Chrom and Kinshinoka.
