Ideas for Kana

Rolled a Kana earlier this morning. +DEF/-SPD, a terrible roll in my opinion. But it got me thinking, wondering what to do with Kana when I get a favorable roll. Initially, I thought of syncing her Water Breath with Distant/Close Defense for a total of +10 DEF/RES on defense and using her as a wall for my Dragon team but then I remembered that I have one: Grima, who – by virtue of Expiration – tanks better because of comparable defensive stats as well as DC/VF. I also have A!Tiki with Warding Breath, who will also function as a DC tank.
(EDIT: I plan on using Ninian as my Blue dragon when I pull her. The team is currently unfinished.)

So I don’t need Kana to tank.

So I figure that, instead, I’ll use her as a mixed-phase bruiser unit, and I’m wondering what I should use for a build. At the moment, I’m thinking:
+SPD/-DEF
40 HP – 44 ATK – 37 SPD – 30 DEF – 30 RES
Water Breath (+RES)
Reposition
Dragon Fang
Death Blow
Renewal (Uncertain, may be changed)
Goad Dragons

With this, she would have an effective 50 ATK on initiate and an effective 34 DEF/RES on defend, allowing her to deal a fair amount of damage on her turn (effective 75 ATK with Dragon Fang), while still being able to soak a good deal as well on enemy phase. Alternatively, I could try for +ATK and use Darting Blow, but I feel like having a higher passive speed would be better because she’d be less likely to be doubled.

How does this sound for a mixed-phase bruiser Kana build? Anything I should maybe change up? A different A slot? Desperation instead of Renewal (though Renewal adds to her survivability)? Chill?

You might be better off making an enemy phase build, since -SPD doesn't hinder it much and it's a cheaper option since her weapon and A Skill are tailor-made for those types of builds. Just give her QR, Bonfire and an assist skill and you're all set.

Like I said: between Grima and A!Tiki, I already have two units that do their damage during the enemy phase. With Ninian as my blue, whenever I get her, if I make the entire damage aspect of my team a counterattack setup, then Firesweep would ultimately devastate the team, since between -SPD Grima, -SPD Tiki, and your proposed -SPD Kana, I would have literally no offensive presence, meaning that I get swept out. So I need to have some kind of initiation damage, and that's where Kana's build would step in. Death Blow is the exact same thing as Fierce Stance, proc'ing on jnitiation, and her stone still offers her enough beef to not be killed.
