Ideas for Bartre team

It's a team designed to combat armours in AA, and 4*+10s are very welcome.

Bartre will use slaying hammer+atk or +spd (for cracking wary fighter/Thunder Armads), death blow, and axebreaker. The build is designed to OHKO blue armours and double greens.

Ideas I've come up with so far.
- mages, because sometimes a team isn't all armours, and mages can be pretty good against armours anyways
- slaying spear Oboro or Est
- maybe L.Ike? His blessing bonus is good for Bartre, but the only case where I need to break wary fighter with QR that Bartre doesn't already have covered is Zephiel and maybe M.Grima? I think Bartre can probably double Grima to death, especially if I buff his spd.
- P.Shigure, one of the only dancers I have. (Maybe I should have pulled blues on the recent legendary banner after all ._. )
- Armoursmasher Olivia

suggestions / advice?

PS: Either Micaiah is obviously very logical in this team, but I find those units too generally applicable to constrain to this team, whose spots I want to save for characters who have an easier time focusing on their niche

Oh so it's not going to be four 5*+10 Bartres...?

You might consider building some red or blue cavalry with slaying spear or armorsmasher. (Stahl, Oscar?) Seems like it would be really good to have a movement 3 unit do anti armor stuff.

Ignis Selena might be fun on this kind of team too.

I literally expected a team of Bartres...even if 4*+10, a really fun idea and I was about to suggest some potential Triangle-breaking setups.

The dude is super slept on. He's the "OG" Infantry Hector, if Dorcas wasn't here. Sky high HP, Atk as high as first Hector's, +Def makes him very akin to an armoured unit. His Spd isn't even that awful, since +Spd is a superboon. His Res is pretty much always looking to be awful.

For how high his Atk his (Charlotte tier), Brave > Death Blow Moonbow/Luna/Bonfire is a pretty simple and straighforward idea. It'd be more akin to an Infantry Cherche (Brave > Death Blow + Heavy Blade, which is what I use on Charlotte). Something like Chill Def might be cool to crack through those Hectors/Sheena/Grima/Myrrhs, otherwise it's probably left on a support unit and have him with classic Hit n' Run/Dragback.

I came up with a "faux" Steady Breath-like combo, which is Close Def/anything for Def, Quick Riposte and Heavy Blade (I actually pull this off with Libra with Darting Stance but he's +Atk with Handbell). You can pull off a 3 Turn(4, with Slaying/Killer weapons) in one round.

Lastly, you can give him Halberd or Hammer as a general weapon so he can kill stuff like Tharja or Xander.

I...might actually try this quadruple 4+10 idea at some point. That sounds pretty funny. I'm a long ways from pulling that many copies though, and too many other units I want to build to be able to spend 2k feathers that many times. (Plus, I use him for fury 2 on units like G.Marth or even Masked Marth for now)

I really agree that he's slept on and that his spd is not actually that bad with the superboon. It hadn't occurred to me that he's practically infantry Hector, and yes his res is pretty bad so it's funny to use L&D on him and watch it drop to the levels of Delthea's def. I like the brave+db idea but I'm already planning it for Cherche and Frederick so I don't plan to do it a third time when it's so fitting that he wields this literal hammer and smashes stuff to bits.

The faux vengeful fighter thing is good but if anything I'd probably do it using infantry rush because some flier or cavalry is going to want the heavy blade seal. (This is an AA team, after all.)

Just imagine him rushing up to Tharja and being all "...wut? I brought this hammer to smash through THAT? r u 4 rela?"

But if I really were to make four of him, one would wield brave, one would be a +spd attacker (maybe slaying axe+spd, L&D or swift sparrow, desperation moonbow or bonfire/draconic aura if infantry rush is available), one would use steady breath + QR + deflect magic as a def tank, and maybe the last one uses ardent service and hone spd? Or I could even consider some brazen atk/def + BA galeforce shenanigans

Tbh go for it, Bartre can be pretty fun as a dedicated arena assault hard counter at 4*+10

I think that a Healer is going to be essential to any Arena Assualt team. They don't need to have a refined staff + Savage Blow 6 or even be at 5-Star rarity, as they are there to make sure your main combat units are healthy. This also helps keep Bartre in his Axebreaker range in case there are multiple Hector / Sheena fielded. The base Rehabilitate skill (not the '+' version) is the best Healing Assist at 4-Star rarity. (If you have (a) 5-Star Healer(s), Physic+, Recover+, and/or Martyr+ are better options.) For Specials, you really only want Imbue or Heavenly Light for extra healing power because Healers shouldn't be in combat (and I think it's pretty easy to keep them out of it if you are facing an Armor team).

Aside from them, having a Dancer is also nice, and is recommended to have at least 6 available in your barracks for Arena Assault--one for each team aside from the main. They are cheap to build (just give them Wings of Mercy), as you are really needing them for the Dance assist rather than power, but adding additional skills like Triangle Adept and/or Armor-effective weapons are great if you want them to be a bit more versatile.

Finally, as you said, a Mage would be great for the final slot just to provide some Magic damage. It's really strong against plenty of Armor units you run into who have low Res--barring maybe W!Tharja, LA!Lyn, H!Jakob, H!Henry, and some others I might be forgetting.

Ah yes healers! I do use them a lot in AA even though I only have three at 5*.

I think I'm satisfied with recover (4*) + imbue though. With his def, 15HP is enough to keep him healthy long enough for imbue to charge.

I'm starting to come to a decision. I'll go with Bartre, 5* (unmerged) Tobin using armoursmasher+spd (to make sure I natural double M.Grima if I really need to) + death blow + swordbreaker, 4* merged Serra (because she has hone atk, or I could go with Priscilla or theoretically any other healer if hone atk goes on the dancer), and some dancer.
