What if IS made a permanent banner with no Focus Units? A 6% 5 Star Rate with 0% 5 star Focus Rate ('cause there are none). More than anything, this would be for quality of life where you wouldn't have to worry about losing your pity rate when time runs out like on other banners because it will always be there. Since there are no Focus Units, you could just test your luck and get literally any 5 star out there if your not interested into any of the Focus Units other banners currently happening. Of course the banner would have to be updated everytime new heroes were added to the permanent summoning pool, but your pity rate accumulated on the banner wouldn't change.

i think IS would gain more out of the sort of banners we currently have, and so would players looking to +10 5* locked units

i just wish they'd bring back hero fest

The 5* pools would need to be a lot better to interest me. I plugged some numbers into my summoning estimates spreadsheet: compared to a 3-focus unit banner with no green focus and no shared colour, they would have to offer me a 9% starting 5* rate for me to consider, based on the units of all rarities that interest me, whether to fodder or to play.

Now, if they offered a no-5* banner with something like 67 to 70% rate of 4*s, I would start doing homework on whether that's worth it.

I would definitely summon on that 4star banner I cant seem to finish my merge projects... I accumulate so much feathers that I start workig on other units

+5 Donnel... and so on I have a lot of 5 star units which is good for AA but I need merges for Arena and for first battle in AA so I can actually get more orbs
As a f2p who stacks on orbs but gets fucked by rng I would appreciate that banner

(last banner with Titania gem weapons I used 180 orbs 0 Titanias but got four 5* I am not complaining but thats not what I was looking for!! they werent even green... for fucks sake!
what I got was a Ninian a Sigurd a Gray and a Hinata
and the 3 and 4 stars were complete rubish not even good fodder o actually got 1 chrom

I don't think anyone would roll on that due to the low odds of getting a character they want. If you've ever played FGO, it is like the story banner they have. You can get some exclusive servants there that aren't even available on the rate up banners, but nobody roll on the story banner, because of the low chance of getting that specific servant they want.

As great as that would be, a 6% rate would be too similar too Legendary banners (i.e. too generous). I could see it happening with maybe 1 or 2% rate for % Stars, but I wouldn't imagine them adding a pity rate to it. General pool banners like this in other gacha games tend to be very static (and very low) with their rates so I can't imagine it'd be different in Heroes. It's not a bad idea, but I think something like a weekly rotation of focus unit banners would be more beneficial.
