I wonder, who started the whole post WR beruka build trend?

I mean, yes, she has high asf def but i find it so easy to play around it and the build is very situational; she can only hope to survive if shes up against physical damage units. I believe people invest too much on the wrong unit.

Is there a special Build you have in mind of her? Maybe you can show a picture as an example.

She really has pretty high def thats true, but she suffers from the same sickness as many other of the older heroes, not having so much atk.

I think a high atk Beruka is preferred although high def can be used with quick riposte and bonfire. I think her physically bulk is something to be reckoned with so that most players started to get a liking to her.

High def Beruka is much better. The idea of the build is to run beruka with slaying axe +def, Def IVs beruka, Close counter or Fortress Def and close counter seal.
She can also receive further def buffs with her allies.

My beruka gets 55 def when under attack (close def) and if she is next to her ally support that also have fortify def she gets up to 61 def.
She also sports a nice HP pool of 51.

And as B slot it's either QR or Guard, I personnally prefer guard so she can fight things like ayra and not proc her special.

Also her C slot is threaten atk to further lower the opponent's damage.

Her special is Ignis as it allows her to One shot lot of units, including red ones.

a distant Counter seal would be nice though :( so many People foddered of DC because they have Hector for SI. Started Feb 2017 and still no Hector. Some of my heroes could really use that skill. If not a seal maybe another hero with it?!

I'm in the same situation. I started in Feb and never ever got a Hector even tho I tried :/
I'm just bit worried of seeing some really OP shit with DC + A slot free. But it might be fine.

It's definitly easy to play against her, but that's not the purpose of the build tho. She isn't meant to be played by the AI but rather by the user.

I actually have a beruka and she can literraly tank any melee physical unit with that build. And when I say any, it's really any. She can tank Ayra, BK, B!Roy and all the others just fine and kill them next turn.

Ofc she isn't meant to be played on a defensive team as she is gonna get rekt by mages and archers but she does well on a player's hands.

"I believe people invest too much on the wrong unit."

What exactly counts as the "wrong" unit? The beauty of Fire Emblem Heroes is that there is no right or wrong unit since Skill Inheritance exists. I've seen people invest in units like Lon'Qu, Hana, Gunter, Virion, Donnel, etc. Hell, even basic Henry has been built. The only thing "wrong" is that you think that it's "incorrect" to build a unit. As long as someone takes the time to invest in a unit, then the unit can be powerful given the right situation.

People take units like Black Knight on Armor Emblem, and he's got a lot of defense, but his resistance is extremely horrible. Is it wrong for people to build him then, because he's absolute trash against mages?

I dunno, I'm just failing to see how your argument holds any merit considering a lot of units, powerful units at that, are good in one stat defensive stat, but extremely god-awful in the other stat.

nice one but please delete Hana from your post.
She is a monster worth to invest but underestimated or just with high costs.. but seriously a glass Canon ^^
