I Wish this Were a Thing.
Being kind of a long time fan of the series, I think it would be cool to offer up a certain skill in the form of an Arms Scroll.
For those who haven't played a lot of games in the series, an Arms Scroll was an item that raised the user's Weapon Level in game.
For Example: You have an Armor Knight with a C in Swords and B in Lances. Using an arms scroll with the preferred weapon of your choice automatically made it go up a level. For the Lance level of that unit, it went from B to A, allowing them to use a Silver Lance. The weapon did have to be equipped if it were to raise said level.
Idea 1)
I thought it would be cool if Fire Emblem Heroes had missions or quest to get an Arms Scroll with say Renewal or Vantage or something like that. It would be awesome if they had a way to earn rare abilities like Swift Sparrow or Sturdy Blow or Shield Pulse in the form of these scrolls.
You basically earn it, choose the unit you want to inherit the said skill, and bam! You raise the SP, learn it, and you're good to go.
Idea 2)
Another idea I thought is that if you couldn't earn rare abilities or skills in the form of these scrolls, then it would be a chance to earn one free upgrade without the arduous grind of raising the units SP. If the next level's skill is available in your current rarity level, you could use the scroll and just learn the next level skill free of charge.
For Example:
An Effie with a Brave Lance + inherited can take 450 points of SP, which is quiet a lot of grinding, even with the double SP events they have over the weekends nowdays. Using the scroll would allow Effie to learn Brave Lance + without the need to grind so much.
Idea 3)
Or better yet, maybe a four star unit could have the potential to learn their "#3" stage ability early.
For Example: Subaki can only learn Quick Riposte 3 at 5*, but using the Arms Scroll would allow him to have access to skill on his 4* rarity. Or maybe if you are too lazy to spend 2,000 hero feathers, he could learn Quick Riposte 2 at 3* instead.
Idea 4)
The simplest idea I thought about with the Arms Scroll was the potential to earn to small trinkets like the Light's Blessing (since those are a mega rare commodity that hasn't been a reward for how long now?) or simply find a scroll that has small rewards like say, 5 orbs, and that you can redeem your scrolls at any time you like, making them a collectors item.
Eh, maybe it's a broken concept, but I thought it would an awesome way to expand on the rewards of the game aside from breaking the Hero Feather Bank and dropping the Orbs like a hot and spicy mixtape, which face it, being fans of the game, we have probably spent some money on the game thus far, even if it's been a small pack of orbs for if we're feeling lucky.
