I suck at this game. Does this work?

Ok, so I've almost got a team set up with a 5 star Marth (+def, -res), 5 star Azura (+spd, -atk), a 4 star Nino (+hp, -def) and a 4 star CorrinF(+atk, -def). I also have a neutral Corrin if that's better. I have no idea if this team works well together or if the characters I have are good iv's and what not. I would like some help in deciding skills for all of them to learn too. And lastly should I promote Nino or Corrin first? Sorry for all the questions, I would just really like to win some arena battles occasionally.

I would promote nino first. She is more versatile and can fit on more teams. I think your team is decent! Im still working on figuring out the proper IVs myself XD and i think if you get a nowi, use her instead of Corrin. Unless you absolutely love corrin, which is good too. :)

I will definitely start working with Nino then thank you! I really like Corrin, but if Nowi is actually better them fingers crossed that I pull her sometime in the future. Also I just got a Ninian, should I consider swapping out Azura?

It depends if you are going to keep fcorrin or not. If you are going to keep fcorrin on ur team then u shouod keep azura. If u are going to put a sharena which is what i highky suggest for fcorrin then you should put on ninian. And if i were u id wait till i get a nino with better ivs then get her to 5*s. Ur gonna regret it later trust me.

Agreed here with the Nino thing, I wanted to ask you (Rith) who else you had as well. Since Nino is a common unit, its better to wait for a better IV'd one before unlocking to 5 star.

Well as for 5 star units I only have a Hawkeye, Jaffar, and Eldigan. As far as potentially good units according to the tier list, or who I've found useful, I have Able, Reinhardt, Saizo, adult Tiki, Jeorge, Olivia, CorrinM, Seliph, and Roy.

At least you have a 5 star green to use until you can get another green. if you use hawkeye properly despite his apparent squishyness (hes meaty but takes alot of dmg easily) you can at least go a few weeks until you get a green. Good luck with your team. You have a decent starting pool of characters ^ ^

So I would need to swap Corrin for Sharena and swap Azura for Ninian? I can see the preference for Ninian over Azura, but is the Sharena just because she's a better unit over Corrin or because she works better with Nino considering her weapon?

Ninian is better than azura, though not by a wide margin.
I like corrin with nino mora than with sharena, so it actually depends on whether you wanna keep nino or not.
Sharena is a good all rounder, but corrin is a better support for nino, and a decent tank.

You can use either or in both cases, it's just Sharena is really strong right now both as an atk unit and a support unit so people generally recommend her, I don't personally use her. She is pretty good with Nino but if you decide to use Olivia or give olivias hone atk 3 to Ninian it can work just as well too.

I'm really appreciative of all these replies! I'm not the best at seeing what characters are good with each other so this is very helpful. As for what skills they should all learn, are the skills that are being recommended recently on this FAQ for each character the best option? I think there is an inheritance question already asked for each person I'm using already.

If they have the same IV's I'd consider it, though that's partial bias for me. I feel that Azura has the potential to kill units making her a glass cannon with dance effects,but Ninian is really tanky as a dancer being imo a safer pick if you misposition often. But she does lose out to dragon slayers like Julia and the Falchion Swords, so your call.
