I just noticed that I have like 9 good Red units or so, and 7 or so good Green units, but only 6 good Blue units. I already have some Green units lined up that I'm working on, so I'm not concerned in that area. I consider a unit "good" if it's 5-Star, workable IVs, and at least a mostly-constructed build.
First of all, this probably happened because the Blue units that I do have do their jobs *really* well. So I just never had a need for more, except now I'm trying Squad Assaults and I'm dying.
Here's my current list of Blue units. I'm not mentioning the support slots since I usually switch between Rally skills and Reposition. If I don't mention the unit's weapon, then it's using the default weapon.
- Nowi +Def -Res (Aether, Steady Breath, Guard, I-Pulse, QR-3)
- BLucina Neutral (Aether, Fortress Def, Lancebrker, Drive Spd, Hp+5)
- Fjorm Neutral (Basic kit but with Reposition & Drive Def 1)
- LA Eliwood (Draconic Aura, Fire Boost 3, Renewal 2, Goad Armor)
- Effie (Brave Lance+, Bonfire, Death Blow, Wary Fighter, Threaten Def)
- Abel (Luna, Atk+3, Hit and Run, Hone Cavalry, Atk+3)
I'm looking to build at least one more Blue unit in the near future, and I have some pretty good options I think.
- Hinoka (+Def-Hp): Iffy IVs, but is already 5*, which is nice.
- Lukas (+Atk-Res): Great IVs, but 4* and Nowi already is Defense.
- Valter (Neutral): Cursed Lance is cool, I guess? 4*
- FCorrin (+Atk-Res): Good IVs, but 4* and another Dragon blue.
- Reinhardt (+Atk-Hp): Good IVs - Rein is super cheesy though. 4*
- Ursula (Neutral): I have a 5* Tailtiu fodder, but I'd rather save Barblade for someone a little better than Ursula. Rein a better Blue horse imo.
So any of these look worth building? I mean, hopefully I'll get more Blue 5* units from banners in the near future, but I'm broke on orbs so I figure it's better that I take the situation into my own hands.
You're right about Reinhardt, but those IV's are the best of the best for him, so he's a good unit for Squad Assaults if that's what you are looking for. Lukas has some solid IV's as well, so I would recommend raising him up also.
Those are two excellent blues you should raise up.
Lukas - GREAT infantry physical wall.
F!Corrin - She's good. Nice speed and defense, so she can take some hits and not be doubled.
Reinhardt - Good IVs, but, like you said, he's suuuper cheese.
Ursula - She's a good unit. Blarblade if you're running with Tactic Emblem, or Horse Emblem, or keep her Wolf tome so she can eviscerate cavaliers.
Out of those, in this order, I'd build: Lukas, Ursula, F!Corrin, Reinhardt.
Reinhardt is arguably the best out of them, but I just *loathe* using Reinhardt.
I've build valter with close def 6, quick riposte 3 and he is a beast, he rekt anything that is not bulky green in ennemy phase. Lukas is a great physical tank, Fcorrin is quite average for me without high merges, rein is a beast. I'm not fan of ursula, and i prefer cordelia instead of hinoka.
Rein is quite bugdet and awesome with db3 and lancebreaker 3
Fcorrin is not really budget and you already have a blue dragon with nowi. I don't really like Fcorrin cause she hit like a moskito, but her bulk is quite good.
Lukas is another physical tank without distance def weapon,
Ursula.... i don't like her but she can be a good blue bladetome in a horse emblem.
Valter with just +3def in A slot, quick ripost 2 B slot and close def 3 SS is budget and work really nicely in any team. He have a good atk, a salvagable spd and a nice def. His 2 downside for me are his 42hp and 4dmg after fight. 42hp is average now for a defensif unit (i'm waiting for his weapon refinery so badly).
I'll go for Valter, rein and Lukas
