I saw someone the other day with a 5*+10 M!Robin(OG) who was equipped with Thoron. I guess it was supposed to be a Smash Bros call back.

I actually thought one of the Morgan's would have the Levin Sword.... but nope. xD

Maybe a unit from one of the older games will have it. :o

Well, to be fair though, many people have the budget to make things like +10 Nowi/Fae/Tiki, or +10 Effie/Zelgius/Hector, but I think that's because of how screwed Arena is. People are worried too much about the units with the highest BST to even think about making teams like this, aside from them having them as a trophy. It's saddening.

Being #1 in teir 20 is the drive for players, i still only have 2 units at +2 and thats A!tiki and Sheena. Shows i dont care for arena much but i did go for the rewards.

If you want to say how screwed arena is now, only having 5 wins than 7 made it too easy for players to make it higher yet we still only have the same amount of spots to move up, this has made it a cluster [email protected]%k for teir 18 and 19. Good example, i had a deathless run with 3 armor all built with bow hinoka built and did enjoy her bonus(all were not merged). Had around 680-700 point matches yet i still fell from 18 to 17 although i got max points, this tells me now players have to have all merged units to make progress past 17 that i know of so far, but still the rewards were worth it dispite a teir drop

I went from Tier 18 to Tier 19, and the only merged unit I was using was a +5 Donnel. The rest of my team was Celica, Siegbert, and Flying Azura, so I don't really know what to tell you since I increased in rank and I don't have all merged units.

But the point of my comment wasn't to talk about just how "bad" Arena is, it's to talk about how Arena prioritizes High BST + Merges, and how people are so into "Must be top..." mentality (at least for some people in Tier 20, or trying to get there) that these types of teams, or theme teams, really aren't used.

Well you did use a merged unit lol, i did want to point out that merges are now a must to progress pass 17 (that i know so far) with 5 needed wins, but anyway the rewards are good so i dont mind the drop............much 😃

Well that was pretty much guaranteed. Decreasing the amount of wins needed while, at the same time, giving rewards for accomplishing said needed wins was to encourage players to actually "try" Arena, rather than look at it as some kind of disease and avoid it completely.

Arena was already in need of a fix, in my opinion, before they decided to change it. A game mode that encourages people to use units with the "highest BST" instead of using units you want to use isn't something I consider to be a good game mode (yes, there are people that have something like Odin's/Henry's in Arena, I know).

What i think the fix needed was a better threshold and rewards, the rewards are done right BUT if we lowered the points needed to move a teir while keeping 7 matches up, id think it would be better (2 more rewards lol, who wouldnt say no?) but thats what i think.

I've been bouncing between Arena 18 and Arena 19 constantly for the past couple of months, and my only merged units are +1 Nowi, Soleil, Masked Marth, and Legendary Robin. I only recently got the Legendary Robins, and she isn't build yet, so I've been doing it all with mostly unmerged units. But yeah, I don't have any units with merges other than those four, and those four are only at +1.

Additionally, I've been pretty close to the cutoff point for Arena 20.

However, I only ever get 1-2 defense wins per season. ;-;
