I just LOVE winter and snow! Does anyone else get that feeling of excitment in winter?

Well, I live in the carribean, so I'd love to see some winter and actually feel cold for once (only with AC, and beware power outtages XD).

I have been to the North before (Wisconsin) but I was a wee baby and literally remember jack diddly squat. So, to answer your question, yes...yes I do. It's a change of pace and I adore the cold, so I'm always excited.

Not to mention I have time off from College (though do students ever have time off?) and I can sleep 8 hours without needing to worry about flunking my courses, so yes...hell yeah I do love winter.

I might post a picture of my yard at some point just because why not. Just need to take it. Unfortunetly it is night on the Eastern Sea boad of the US so no can do right now.

Yeah. The heat really is just part of normal life for anybody near th GoM. Though, since I've been to Florida, I must say that, compared to our nights (PR), your nights are much cooler, at least, from what I recollect from being in Florida, even if that was about 4 years ago.

Report

Yeah the nights in winter are amazing besides the bugs but there usually is a nice breeze in the night - the humidity from the air so it’s nice to be outside
The only problem is it’s novmeber and it just started getting cold, it’s been a blazing October can’t Wait for a change of weather even though I prefer the heat. I really enjoy Florida weather though compared to other states, not a fan of the cold so it suits me.

Snow is gay, i'd rather it just be cold without the snow, I don't have the patience to deal with 12 ft of white bullshit four times a week.

If you're hot you can get a fan or AC, or simply find somewhere that you can take a breather. It's not hell, it's just the sun dude. The sun isn't impossible to hide from.

Okay the mosquitos do suck not gonna lie and sometimes we get hurricane
But the beaches man ahh you can’t beat it
Florida pretty great it’s much better than a lot of other stats
Who hates Miami come on!!
+ no state tax I mean we get benefits πŸ˜‚

Yeah but that's part of it. The water more than makes up for it IMO. The sounds, the smells, the sights. The food. Etc. It can be a really good experience if you simply ignore the sand .

Report

Easy Anakin Skywalker
I mean usually you bring a towel and throw it down on the sand so your not lying in sand
You rinse off after the ocean/sand before you get in the car to go home so the sand not too bad
The only bad part is i have ezcema so the sand burns my skin but it’s worth it for the nice view
Salt water burning your eyes is pretty bad nothing like being blind for a couple minutes

If we're going by stereotypes. Isn't Northern racist rednecks worse than drug addicts? Like, some are generally chill and just empty minded while others have problems with entire groups of people and they can have guns XD

Also nice view. That water is pristine.

Report

That is interesting because where I am from we have been tought that the south is racist and everyone runs around with guns. Man the north and south of the US really don't like each other.

Report

Well, it's stereotypes. North and South both have "rednecks" it's just a matter of where you look.

Honestly, it's just a sociological divide that people simply view the other side differently and make their side look like heaven. It happens everywhere.

Report

You wouldn't know people are racist in the north unless you asked them. Southern hospitality ain't just a southern thing, back when I was travelling across the northwest, everywhere I'd stop i'd tell my tales of adventuring and get invited to a local gathering that night and spend that night eating and drinking, and the next day i'd get a ride off to the middle of nowhere and continue my journey.

Towns > cities.People that live in cities are bastards that will ignore, antagonize, and attack you if you don't look like you belong, people that live in towns will feed you till youve got food leaking from your ears and then they'll tell you to come visit the next time you're around, and give oyu a midwestern hug.

Report

Dude, what you described can be borderline any bad person. You do know there are shitty people in the North as well? Simply cause your experience in towns is better than cities doesn't mean much. People can still be jackasses in the North, South, East or West. And don't give me the "but it's lest likely in X place" cause that's really not true.

Racist people can be anywhere, and simply me saying it as a part of a stereotype was to answer to your already stereotype ridden comment about Florida being full of Drug Addicts, as if they don't exist in your part of the world. That only screams to your ignorance IMO.

Report

Yeah I know what you sound like.

Seriously, must all your comments be as racist or illogical as the other, or are you incapable of some generic speech that doesn't revolve around insulting something XD

I'm simply stating a fact. Anything and everything happens nearly everywhere, whether you chose to believe so or not. Go back to smoking your pot if you think your small slice of the universe is so different than the rest, cause it really isn't.

Also, and I'll say this again. Your insult game is trash. Really, this is what a drug addict sounds like? My little sis could come up with that.

I find Nilla commentary refreshing why be an optimist when you can be a pessimist
#doom and gloom all the way!!
We should just replace Sutr with Nilla that would make β€œheroes” a hell of a lot more interesting.
