I am livid...

I tried sniping on blues for Winter Robin/Hardin and got crashed by Fjorm and a second NY Azura (I already had one that was +SPD, -HP). I was hoping to summon for Zelgius or the brides (I don't have any of the new ones), but I don't even feel like doing that anymore I'm so agitated. Should I just give up on summoning with orbs until the next Legendary Banner?

If you feel upset by the banner then I say just stop and wait until the next one.

Bro I know exactly how you feel. 100+ orbs for Ninian and all I got to show for it was a second freaking Tana -Def. However, don't lose hope for getting the units you really want- I say (if you don't have Effie built up) to keep working at it and even if you don't get what you want now, the RNG gods will surely make it up to you, they always do eventually.

Well, I kind of have to give up on the Legendary banner because I already expended 2/3 of my monthly entertainment budget sniping blues and got nothing but fodder. The free orbs from today's quests got me Fjorm and Azura, which is a seriously low blow because I missed Robin before and he's my favorite male character. I also spent over 200 orbs on the new brides and got nothing but fodder and pity breakers. Maybe this is karma for getting Legendary Lyn, Ishtar and normal Sanaki on my free summons.

Sounds like you're in the downswing of your variance. I went really well early on, before I understood IVs, also went reasonably well in the previous legendary banner but not so well recently. Early rolls were +atk B.Lyn, +spd B.Lucina, a -HP Zelgius, +atk M.Grima, +spd SM Eirika. Previous legendary banner, reasonable number of 5*s for how many orbs I threw in, no repeats of the same unit (I'm fairly new to the game), didn't get P.Inigo (who was my preferred candidate for raven+TA) or Micaiah as I wanted, instead I got a -spd P.Shigure who gets doubled and killed by everything and a -atk H.Henry who couldn't seem to double or kill anything or even tank that hard until I gave him raven+TA+QR. But I did get +atk Genny. On the TT banner I tried for Ninian and got Linde (which turned around for me when the new weapon was announced, but I didn't know that at the time and I'm still on the lookout for a good dancer or will have to build an Olivia); now at 10.5% trying for Y.Tiki (and would be ok with Sigurd or a L.Ryoma that isn't -spd) but red orbs seem to avoid me. My turn to run kind of bad.

NY Azura is a green btw

your pity rate can still be ruined by units of colors youre not aiming for if the color you're looking for doesnt show up. like i sniped only blues trying to get summer robin only to get screwed over by a faye

There’s a reason I avoid legendary sniping. And this is that reason.
