The day I’ve awaited has come. Finally I can make a max merge Michalis for arena, but I can’t figure out what would be his best builds. The only thing I know for sure is he’ll have Hautclere with special refine and Guidance as his C-skill. I’d love some suggestions. Just don’t make them Laughable!
A tank seems to be a nice role for him to fill, physical tanking I mean. Archers aren't really that common excluding armored archers, so Iote's Shield can be replaced with something else that could boost his tanking.
His HP stat is fairly high, so you could either run the Guidance seal and give him Panic Ploy in the C slot from a 4* Garon, or vice versa.
Hitting the unit builder some more, I think dual Close Defense might be better for him due to having to ability to tank dragons.
At Max merge, he'll have 23 resistance. Add in an extra 18 from both Close Def A + Seal, and the +6 from Res Tactic or a Res Wave, and he'll be at 41 residence on enemy phase against dragons.
Take away Guidance and give him Panic Ploy? Definitely a solid build in my opinion.

Super tanky is one idea, going for all the close def stacking you can.
Or maybe steady stance + Close def to allow some archer survival.
He could also go for Aether, with fury as A slot and heavy blade as seal.
Also, the upcomming atk/def bond seal might work well in flier teams.
