How Would You Build Jamke?
Relatively simple compared to some of my previous questions, but I'm curious as to how some of you would build him. I hit the Unit Builder (because I have at least two tabs of this open for comparisons and just building shenanigans, lol) and thought about the new GHB unit that we'd be receiving soon. I just took a closer look at his stats and... I don't really know what to do, to be honest.
According to the unit builder (it's been wrong before on stats/weapon effects, so sorry if this is inaccurate), he has 38 HP, 36 attack, 32 speed, 29 defense, and 17 resistance. He comes with Slaying Bow, Astra, Heavy Blade, and Cancel Affinity (seriously, why is this still a thing? ._.).
I'm a bit stuck on how to go about even building him if the urge ever struck me and I had enough Feathers to promote him. Slaying Bow only puts him at 48 attack, 49 if you go with the attack refine (but why would anyone do that...) and 34 speed if you go with a speed refine.
The only thing I could really think of to bring out the 'best' in him is to put him on a Tactic's team to give him the +6 to his stats, and even still his speed is a bit on the low side (for anyone fortunate enough to get Spd Tactic fod.... I mean L!Lyn), so you'd have to replace his Heavy Blade with something else that'd actually help boost his stats.
I dunno what to think, to be honest. Aside from Oliver (who was an absolute joke even before he was introduced to FEH) this might be the GHB that I become completely uninterested in using the character. He's not a bad unit, but there's nothing really interesting about him. He just seems like the average archer, to be honest. So far, every GHB unit has had some type of role to play as far as team building, whether that's mage tank, physical tank, speed demon, or support/ploy boy, but this one is a bit more difficult for me to actually find a legit role for him to play.
Is anyone noticing something that I'm not?

A tactics team would make him a lot better. He would have 54 Attack, which makes Heavy Blade activate quite a bit. If you give him Odd Atk Wave, he can reach a total of 60 Attack, being able to activate Heavy Blade quite a lot. Astra is fine but I think Dragon Fang would be better. You can give him Vantage for his B slot. Close Counter for his A slot. Heavy Blade will go to his Seal.

And when I put Heavy Blade from my -Atk Ike on my +Atk L!Ephraim several people were like, "Why would you do that when it's a seal?" Damned if you do, damned if you don't I guess.
BTW I did it because the flexibility of the Seal slot is more important than the potential A slots.
Also I already burned 40K feathers on Mathilda's (CA is 5*) so 1 Jamke isn't going to matter much.

I'd build him with a Brave Bow. His speed doesn't seem like it has a lot of potential without the use of a seal. But when it comes to neutral IVs, he has the highest attack of all archers in the game. (Probably the only reason he has Heavy Blade) Compared to every archer with a +Atk IV, only a handful of archers beat his attack, and only one of those is in the permanent summoning pool.
36 base attack plus a Brave Bow+ makes 43, then Death Blow 3 makes 49. Really good attack for a Brave Weapon user.
I'll give him Luna and any other assist and C skill. I'm also gonna let him keep Cancel Affinity for budget reasons. (CA's not bad, just situational.)
Sure, you can pick a unit with better attack and access to more merges to run the same build and s/he'll do it better. Frankly, I don't care. As long as he's good in his own right, I'm fine.

His biggest problem is that he's just like Leon with higher BST and no IVs, which absolutely kills him in his case, because a +atk IV could fit for a brave bow build, +spd IV could go for a desperation build, +def could fit into a CC build. When he's at neutral, he doesn't really shine in any of those roles and is therefore completely mediocre.
As for his base skills:
Slaying bow is on Leon
Astra can be foddered from Virion and Cordelia
Nobody uses cancel affinity
Heavy blade is sort of useful.

The best ideas I've been able to come up with are brave bow + death blow, very simple, or refine for spd (or def is possible too), use death blow, infantry rush/flash him (preferably flash), and use 32-34 spd to pick on slow tanks with a nice ignis. 54 atk + 23 damage on the ignis (spd refine; 25 damage if using def refine) vs a 40 def tank will KO up to 51HP.
I'm most likely going to fodder the heavy blade though. I'd like a one-turn galeforce on Cordelia.

I was thinking brave bow but I can't be arsed to pour that many feathers into him. This is the best budget build I could come up with. Still needs a lot of support but he could at least snipe squishy ranged units reasonably well.
And he really is Leon 2.0. Nice attack, decent defense, but disappointing speed.

Here's how I'd build him
He'd have solid attack,SPD and def but low res which is slightly fixed by guard bow, threaten def to make sure he can get the ORKO and vantage to pop off when enemies at ranged combat think they have him before he nails them with a draconic aura
