How to save feathers

I was saving feathers when I was actually hopeful on getting my last Donnel. He was (still is) at +5, so I was saving 100k feathers for when I got the last one... Now that I've pretty much given up on getting the last one, I save at least 20k before promoting a unit for merging (currently Odin) in case I wanna experiment with a favorite character that gets introduced to FEH.

You just have to look towards the future when it comes to not spending things in this game, lol.

Start a 5*+10 merge project. You’ll find yourself saving feathers a lot more

The point is to spend them at 20000. I, personally, don't understand why people save them and then merge a +1 unit into a +10 unit. You could be using that unit in better forms with every merge, and it takes less discipline to keep your 20000 feathers for the same hero each time than it does to save up 200000.

Spend them I say. I've never saved more than 20k.

For me personally, I didn't care about (and still don't really care) merge projects or having any 5*+10's. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with using your 20k for a promote if you have a unit you want as a 5*. I value having a wide variety teams and units to pick from and build with rather than having a single super buffed character.

For me I eventually started running out of units I wanted to 5* at a high priority, so I naturally started using less feathers. Just spend feathers on the characters you really wanna use and don't waste feathers on promoting when you don't need the character or don't think you'll use them.

I just stopped building any units for a long time, and now I'm up to 300,000 feathers.
