How to optimize my Ephraim?

Pulled a +def -spd Ephraim way back when he first came out and he served me well since but I think I could probably optimize him better.

Current build:
A Deathblow
B Lancebreaker
C Threaten Defense
Special Moonbow

I use him a lot for tanking/baiting reds and lances and with the new summoner support his stats are currently at:
HP- 51
Atk- 55 (counting attack seal)
Spd- 24
Def- 37
Res- 22

Life and Death looks very tempting but somewhat hurts his tankiness.
I should note I do not like Triangle Adept very much though I know many people put it on him.

If I pulled Ephraim I would give him Hone Spd, and then Rally Def/Res for his special. He would then become a quad buffer just like his sister, but would actually have a decent offensive presence.

Pretty sure my Ephraim is the same IVs, I got him as my free summon in the Threaten Def banner. It really depends on the teammates you pair him with. With bladetome, he plays defensive and as a buffer. I'm using mine with Nino. Defense +3 and Quick Riposte are decent options. Threaten Defense is good if you don't plan on having your bladetome attack it, as they probably wouldn't want to engage the red anyways. Your skills seem pretty good though for any team. What team are you planning on building?

I use him on a team with Erika and Nino so his main use is tanking and general killings instead of buffs. Probably not the best team set up but it works.

I also kinda want to see what steady stance 3 would be like on him when it comes. With Erika as support he could reach 49 def when attacked.
