How many orbs are there to get till winter

I'd say your guess is right, I average about 200-250 orbs per month, but it might be a little bit more than that, as they could do a Christmas orb event or something. Plus, the Christmas and New Years banners last around 30 days, so you still have time well into January to save orbs for those banners.
