I feel you man, I spent 250 orbs (only 120 were F2P), and only got a +DEF/-SPD Winter Chrom (who's quite good). I'm currently sitting at a FRIGGING 5% pity rate. I'm kinda positive because I know I'll get a 5-star unit by the time this banner ends, but nevertheless it's very annoying to summon 4* trash

Yikes! Don't know about will to live but that is disheartening. I guess just because you pay doesn't mean anything. Still, with that high pity rate, and free orbs, I'm sure that the game will cave in and give you something for your trouble. Hell, next batch could have 3 5 stars. Try again, man.

Well it's unfortunate but not so uncommon.
There is a lot of people who reaches even higher %
Even on the 8% banner I managed to get 2 times over 10.5%,..
I'm F2P and I saved for very long for this banner to only get crap so yeah it happens.

I feel your pain. I finally got to a point where I'm not spending anymore. To get there I decided to do two things differently:
-Long term investment in common units, since they have access to +10 for free.
-Only using orbs when those must-have skills pop up, or hero fest etc.
When you don't pull for a while it's suprising how fast the orbs pile up. Then you have plenty to burn when the must have banner shows up. It's funny, after burning over 100 F2P orbs, it really deters you from deciding to pay for another large batch of orbs-- much less tempting than if that banner comes out and you have no orbs to begin with.
It's also easier to say "meh" to new units once you have several merges stacked up on your existing ones.

I feel your pain but there is hope. According to datamine, we will have a new tempest trials (around 27/12 i think), a new bound hero battle, special maps and log in bonus before january... this give to us F2P around 70 orbs.
