How flexible is L!Marth?

So I ended up pulling a couple of copies of him on the legendary banner and after using him a little bit i was fairly impressed by how useful he seems to be under multiple situations. The one i'm going to go with is a +Spd/-Atk version since his Atk bane will get fixed in Feb anyway.

I'm mostly curious as to what others have found him to be most successful in their use of him. I was thinking of constructing a mixed team with him that may or may not include a blade tome user. Have others found him better as a nuke or might he be better suited as a brawler with some healer support due to the large benefits from buffs that he gets.

Would it be beneficial for me to focus on one build over the other?
