How exactly do you whalers work?

I just find it almost impossible that some people can get a new character +10 merged in mere hours. I saw a +10 L!Ryoma in the top players of Arena Assault on the day he came out.
Tell me how you guys work. I know it's probably just to spend a lot of money on the game for orbs but just how do you guys do it? All of the luck and money you guys must have is ludicrous.

I'm not a whale, but: With enough money you don't need luck. With a job (or perhaps with rich parents I guess) you can get money. Personally I would not consider spending the kind of money it would take to do this, but some people demonstrably will.

Well, around 100 orbs is the normal ratio, 130~140 with some bad luck, 70~80 with some good luck.
With around 1500 orbs you have pretty much assured the +10.
That's around 850€ (counting 0 F2P orbs) for a +10.

Yeah, when you income is 6 cifres, you can do ridiculous things like that.
That's obviously not my actual testimony. I wish I could afford to waste money like that xD

Some people have more disposable income than others, especially if they don’t have kids.
