How do I get over Handbell?

I just reall like the bell. At first it was the design...just what character doesn't look great with it? It almost even passes as an actual weapon. And eve gameplay-wise, I just can't get over getting +2 stats on Enemy Phase. That's basically anywhere from +6-8 stats when you mix it with Close Def, Darting Stance, etc.

Can't even justify using Slaying weapons, Wo Gún and even the new Hack O' Lantern. I dunno, is it just me? Am I crazy?

You can easily get those stats through buffs, owl tomes get this effect but much better and not phase limited, it has nothing but stats while the others have things irreplacable like +10 dmg on specials or a free guard at all percents. (Seriously the guard weapon is busted). Did this help?

Well, axe users don't have access to Owl tomes...and while buffs are a thing, these buffs are constant (independent of them) and those can still be stacked on top of them.

Can't argue with +10 Dmg. The Guard thing is somewhat obvious.

Fuck that thing. lol It's probably the only "Axe" I don't like. Besides, I find he may have better use in Enemy Phase with the skills I mentioned.

Well, it makes you rely on raw stats instead of specials.
I would say the Hack o' Lantern still beats it for defence, but if I had to pick between it, slaying and wo gun, I'd pick the bell.

But I ain't sacking a Lissa for that bell.
