How Crusader's ward works?

It suppose to reduce in 80% the damage dealed by ranged units from the second attack onwards, but then, why a red mage who should hit with 20 damage only deals 10 in the first attack (i know, divine tyrfing effect) but hits with 20 in the second when Crusader's ward should be active?

Is your Sigurd running distance counter? Crusaders ward only works from consecutive attacks so if he is able to attack in between mage attacks his (B) skill wont work. Example: mage atk - Sigurd atk - mage atk = no eff from crusaders ward even though you meet the 2 range requirement if running distance counter.

Now unless the mage has close counter this can play out as well, example: sigurd atk - mage atk - mage atk = no eff from cusaders ward due to the fact you have to be hit from range for it to work.

Or its possible for a glitch to happen, never know...

It shouldn't be happening- either you accidentally didn't have Crusader's Ward equipped, the opponent triggered a Special that allowed it to deal more damage, or they had a skill that neutralized Crusader Ward's effect.

I can confirm that sigurd has it equipped, and the enemy doesn't trigger any special (tested against the red mage in zephiel ghb who has AoE special)
