How to build this Leo?

How would you build this Leo?

I don't know that he's ever going to be top tier or anything but I'm curious what skills you would give him. I've been thinking about his Brynhildr refine, which prohibits opponents from counter-attacking if Leo has greater Defense than his target. For the A slot Armored Blow 3 would probably be better on Leo than anybody else (though that isn't saying much). Ideas on other skills?

I may go with sturdy blow, because his attack is bad as well, you may need to get some merges for him to be able to unlock this type of build for him. Realistically many staff users can accomplish what you want to do with him with a dazzling+wrathful gravity

Here. Since his hp is so high against rainged units earthboost seems better than armorblow due to its mixed phased utility. This Leo focuses on enemy phase againt ranged units since his refine stops follow-up attack while Leo himself will hit twice due to QR skill. The main issue with whis build that you need hone cav or atk tactic to patch up his low atk.

Or he can become blade tome mage with brash assault desperation combo. Main issue with this build it that Leo has to rely on one attack versus units that can't couter atack, but you can try to fix it with goad cav buff, with it and hone cav he might reach 37 speed during combat wich is still not enough.
Or LnD can be swapt for deathblow 3.

Thanks Deef. Great suggestion. By the way for whatever reason, even though the pic loads correctly when I open it, the thumbnail has ten merges, dull ranged 3, atk/Def bond 3, and QR3. That's an impressive build!

With mine, I went with the DD seal, Death Blow 3 for the A-skill, and unique-refined Brynhildr for the weapon. Hit twice at normal damage during enemy phase thanks to Quick Riposte, then POW on player phase. Works best with a 3-turn cooldown special (Iceberg, Bonfire, Draconic Aura, Luna) in my experience, though I have had fun using Blazing Light to just demolish enemies. Anyone who can go past the Defense threshold for Brynhildr probably isn't going to be hitting him very hard, especially if you bolster his defense further with Fortify Cavalry, so that's one less thing you have to worry about. If you have a spare Steady Stance lying around, that would synergize well with QR, too. Hope this helps!

That's what I like about Leo. His kit makes him a good mixed phase unit. Hits hard enough in enemy phase to do some damage, then unwinds in the player phase with AoE damage, gravity, and savage blow all at once to kill one and neuter the rest.
