Long story short I spent a bit too much to get a LA!Roy due to high pity rate, and he has bad IVs on top of getting him. So I'm gonna try and invest in him so the money will not be wasted.
Any good suggestions for him to make up his lack of attack power? I'm running a budget set on him for now.
Those IVs... ouch. But at least you have more focus units than I do.
As for build, I’d recommend slapping together a guard bow build on him. He could be a solid ranged tank with double DD or even the CD seal and CC in A slot to make him an enemy phase tank. He could have a lot of solid use with some investment.
If you wanna go full invest, then you can give him Guard Bow+ with the resistance refinement. Distant Defense A slot, Quick Riposte B slot, flexible C slot, and Distant Defense Seal.
With his 30 base resistance, he'll get an extra 3 from the refinement, and then another 18 resistance when attacked by a foe using magic, and 18 defense if attacked by a bow or dagger unit. Not to mention the possibility of Fortify Cavalry for another +6 defense and +6 resistance.
33 res (with refined Guard Bow+) + 18 (Distant Defense 9) + 6 (Fortify Cavalry) = 51 resistance when attacked by a mage.
27 resistance + 18 (Distant Defense 9) + 6 (Fortify Cavalry) = 45 defense when attacked by dagger/bow, 48 if you go for defense refinement.
Give him an Glacies/Iceberg along with it... My goodness.
