How to break a game.

You see this skill?
This one I posted?
This is pure bullshit.
You know what it means?
It means blow, stance, and brazen skills are worthless now.
Why?
Because these skills don't have phase requirements and they dont have hp requirements.
Whats that? You say theyre not as good because you need a space between then and other allies? Motherfucker, drive skills are a thing, ally supports have 1/1/1/1 at two spaces, and marths buffs still activate for them.

Flora is single handedly the most obnoxious unit to have been released so far, I can't think of a single unit that comes close to the amount of bullshit flora was given, even summer loli tiki doesn't compare.

What the fuck man.

I think I agree. 6/6 is too much for dual phase. When the atk/spd version releases? Galeforcers?

It works with emblem goads, too.

The main thing going for this skill is that it's anti-armour.

Oh boy, here come in the all the solo videos of GHB’s. Youtubers like Sandonrii are going to have a field day using future “solo” skills

Report

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Skills are only going to get worse here on out. Just ride the wave guys

Report

I feel like they should have made it 2 spaces for balance. Just a little too easy to use.

Maaybe they won't make a atk/spd version, but that might be a bit much to ask for.

Report

Just take a minute! Every banner, people freak out. It's just overreaction, this skill will be awful for any 'movement emblem' teams that utilize Hones and Fortifies.

Just take a minute and actually think about it! It's surprising when you take a step back and see the big picture.

Report

No, you don't understand, hones and fortifies happen at the started of the turn, which means a unit can get buffed, then fuck off on their own and get the solo buff, which goes even further when you understand that when atk/spd solo hits, one hone fliers means a cordelia can run around with +12 atk and spd with galeforce fucking everything.

Report

The thing is, we don't know when other solo skills will come out. We still haven't gotten all the Link skill combos yet. Res is irrelevant in high tier, which I assume you know already so it doesn't really affect that much. In theory anyway. Looks like a fun skill though.

EDIT: I must say though +6/+6 is a little over kill. 5 or 4 would've been much better.

Report

Hones and fortifies are actually perfect for the reason Nilla mentioned. Usually, you use hones and fortifies if you want to group up at the end of a turn and not need to stick together in the middle of a turn (ex: move out to attack).

And even if it were as you say, fliers spamming goads would abuse the heck out of this skill.

Report

Hmmmm....i think IS is trying to combat the bait meta.

Lmarth single handledly lowers the viavility of dragons.

Kill bonuses.

And now this. Where ur incentivized to go on the offensive to catch units when their a skill is wortless.

Report

Wow, what a shock. After a year of powercrept armor skills, we get a powercrept skill that works on pretty much every movement type but armor. Fine by me.

Report

I am aware of what it means, but I'm not freaking out over it. Powercreep is generally inevitable and its not like this is meta defining or shattering.

This also likely means we have the potential to get other powerful A skills like Fierce Stance on a demoted unit.

Report

It's not meta-shattering, but I can understand why he's throwing a fit. Dual phase units will gain a lot of power through this series of skill, like, special fighters for instance? You stick together at the beginning of a turn to get armour march, and then out you go, while you attack your ally isn't stuck to you so it activates, and then they catch up and you have armour march at the beginning of next turn.

Report

I still think those skills will be prevolent. The solo skill will be for units who are out on the feild most the time, which there aren't that many. I mean, Emblem teams certainly aren't going to use it, they have to stay together in order to receive their buffs. And Emblems are the most pressent in arena. Plus the other skills still have a niche. Brazens still mix well with Vengeance or Reprisal, Blows still make your unit hit hard, Stances still help on enemy phase, ect...
Solo skills probably won't even be that useful in arena since most of your units are clumped together at first so you'll get no chance to really use it unless you just throw a unit into the open. Which, why would you do that anyway? The unit will probably die if they can't take the hits so they won't get the chance to proc it anyway.
I think the meta will be absolutely fine. It'll change, for sure, but I don't think this is ground breaking.

Report

I don't agree. Emblem goads are 2-range. Brazens will retain a place, I think, because they don't have tactical restrictions and even grant stronger stats.

These skills are fantastic for player phase for a similar reason that bond skills tend to be easier to use on enemy phase - when you attack, it's more likely that your ally isn't right behind you (whereas it's easier to have allies right behind you on enemy phase because you don't need to advance into the enemy while striking)

So, is a reverse Bond Skill but much better.
I don't see drawbacks about that thing.

Ranged Cavalry will be more annoying now.

I don't really see that much of a problem tbh. She's just premium fodder on Legendary Banners ;)

Are we not gonna talk about that +20 def she gets against sword/lance/axe

Report

It's a 14mt dagger with a reference to her ice heritage, so I think it's safe to say nobody else would be able to wield it...except Felicia possibly?!
