Hone Spd for Ephraim?

I have a 5* Tharja with Grade A IV's (+Spd, -Def). With all of my units I can boost 3/4 of her stats except Speed.

If I take off Threaten Def 3 and replace it with Hone Spd 2 (don't have enough for 3 yet) will that give Tharja more of an edge in battle?

Hone Spd is absolutely a solid choice for Ephraim, and basically allows him to better fulfill a buffing support role akin to the standard set run by his sister Eirika. There's great synergy between the spd buff and the atk buff already provided by Siegmunde, especially for -blade tome users like tharj.

Hone Spd 3 shouldn't be too difficult to manage? The cheapest option might be to inherit it from a 4* Matthew, who's a pretty accessible pull at 3* and 4*. Good luck building your Ephraim!

Already did that. Now just trying to build up some SP.

just curious, how are you getting your other stat buffs? as in, what's the rest of the comp

I built mine to be the ultimate buffer, while able to keep up as a front line baiter as well. Haven't used him much yet since I just finished him but hoping he'll come in handy sometime. He will buff every stat for a teammate. Allowing a blade user to get a total of 16 extra damage.
