Basically the same builds with wary Fighter instead of the other two. That’s pretty much it.

With that IV spread, you probably want to run a Guard Bow+ set and turn him into a ranged tank.

Assist is either Swap or Pivot. Special can be Bonfire or Iceberg depending on the refine of the Guard Bow. The A-Skill can any of the following to fulfill his role: Distant Defense, Steady/Warding Stance, Steady/Warding Breath, Svalinn Shield, Earth Boost, or one of the Bond skills that increase Def/Res (preferably one that also increases Atk). You can keep Wary Fighter as the B-Skill, or replace it for Quick Riposte. As for the C-Skill, you can run Ward Armor for Armor Emblem teams, or Atk/Def Ploy outside of Armor Emblem. The seal should be Distant Defense for maximum tankiness.

hello!! this is my jakob and he is a good spicy boi and my pride and joy that tank mage like theres no tommorow!! the addition of distant counter also make him sorta tanky enough for mellee units. However, if you don't have distant counter, i would like to recommend you slap him some distant def3 or death blow for some punch. for guard bow refinement, based from your jakob iv's, i recommend you go for guard bow res+ to make him a powerful mage tanker. just imagine him with distant def 3 seals, i think he will be quite a tank for nino ( I think)
