High Tier Bait Units

With so many units hidden potential being unearthed by older players I feel as if bait units are no longer a thing (outside horse emblem scumbags). If I see a tier 20 opponent with Barte as a lead I know I'm in for a wild ride.

Maybe I've just seen too many good teams, nothing surprise's me anymore. Does anyone still assume an easy fight if they see a "bad" unit as lead? If so, how often are you right?

Eh, skill sets don't surprise me either. I just assume there's always someone with WoM, it's fairly easy to predict and plan around. I struggle with Guidance but it's just so uncommon even with it as a seal.

For me the only time I actually saw a true team was when someone had a well-invested Lloyd as their lead and they had like Valter and the other two heroes I couldn't remember.

Other than that if it's like an Alfonse as the lead it's going to be asshats with Reinhardt's and BLyn's as the other 2 plus a random horse unit (I despise Brave Lyn with a burning passion)

I’m currently at tier 20 and I never make assumptions based on their squad leader, less grief that way.

Should we even bother trying to make a good bait unit at tier 20? If someone sees my Hector will they really avoid me like Horse Emblem, is bait still important?

If you’re not getting any Defense kills, you can try it... Honestly though, I don’t really ‘avoid’ certain units based on possible team compositions. I have that much faith in my favorite team!

Late response, sorry!

I get about 2 or 3 defenses per season now, but I used to get 5+ every time, I don't use Horse Emblem either though if I was desperate I could.

With my old team I'd dive straight into calvary teams without hesitation, but I wasn't scoring high enough. Since I switched to use Hector and BK for higher BST I've kinda struggled with Lyn + Tiny hands so I avoid horse leads.
