I'm having a really slow day at work today and have nothing to do, so instead of doing something productive, let's talk about the heroes in our collections that we are the most proud of. There are so many heroes in this game, so there is definitely going to be some variety.
If I had to choose one myself, it would probably be Soren. He's strong in FEH and was probably my favorite character in PoR/RD, because back then when I was fairly young, I saw some personality traits that we kind of shared.
He's my biggest pride in FEH because he is the only hero, who managed to break my golden rule, which is "never fodder a 5* exclusive hero, that you have only 1 copy of". He ate not only one, but two heroes, who were protected by the golden rule, and the fact that I managed to convince myself to brutally sacrifice B.Tharja and F.Celica (had no other sources of those skills at that time) and that it was also absolutely worth it, is why I take pride in him.

...I completely forgot that good owltome builds have mixed defenses, like Sophia and Henry (Halloween Henry too).. though hers is weaker than theirs, but her offenses are better, which is what you just stated... Its definitely worth a try, thanks man
I guess I didn't think of this because my only experience with owltome and type weapons is Katarina's Reese's Tome and Innes Nidhogg, and those users both have paper thin def. It probably will work for her

She's cleared so much PvE Content for me and is always on my Arena Team. She is the first completed unit on my +10 team project. Soleil is quickly following at +6, Shigure sits at +1 and Boey lays dormant at +0
My Lilina, since I've got her as 5* (pitybroke) she was +Atk -Spd, the perfect IVs and I decided to invest in her
I used to use a raven tome despite her defenses and worked really well, but when Forblaze came out I decided to use one-shot style with AoE specials, when this arena season finished I'll fodder Special Spirial (I have the same golden rule too) from my only +Spd -Atk Lewyn, she deserves it!
Mature Audiences Only Tiki. My first dragon unit I had since the beginning, when she ran that crappy Defiant Atk 3/Brash Assault 3 setup to have to get abused to half death to get pumped up on a steriod buff when she had no merges... man has she grown. I gave her everything: the standard Lightning Breath +def and +res refines, Breath of Fog +atk and +def, Distant Counter, Steady and Warding Breath (she like Ike). She tanks nearly everything, and has been even stronger now with BoF, I don't bother with DC anymore on her setup, she's purely melee now, flattening armies of Hectors, male Grimas, Myrrhs and Sheenas in arena
Also, I don't hate her art and her voice is lovely
I can feel shots fired on a certain blonde and annoying dragon from your last sentence. Can't argue with that.
I also like the melee focus on A.Tiki more than DC. Going all in on one matchup is better than half-assing both matchups and steady breath with its cooldown reduction is an absolute staple on A.Tiki.

I still dont know why I decided to get him 5* +10, but he works quite great against everything that is not magic or red/grey dragon.
Something curious is that Frederick has very similar stats than Silas, and here Silas is higher in tier than him when both can run the same build and have the same success xD. The only thing different is that silas can tank better magic attacks thanks to berkut lance...
Aw, Frederick! He's one of the few that I'm trying to +10, and currently the one with my summoner support. I just love Frederick so much. I'm glad that he's one we can build to +10 fairly easily, aside from the feather investment. I think I've only got him at +3 currently. (Really wish I could +10 Summer Frederick, but I haven't even managed to pull a second one of him, and the one I have isn't ideal IVs. I hope he's available more in the future.)
Ok maybe it’s pointless putting a top tier unit here because they’re already really good anyways but the reason I’m putting my Zelgius here is because he’s Atk-Res+, probably the worst IV’s for him but even without armour buffs he is one of my best units in the game, even with trash IVs 😂
Edit- I guess he could also have Panic Ploy as his C skill
Wow, and I thought my Summer Xander was good with his 50 Def (not counting skills that give additional buffs). I still love him, though. It amuses me greatly that out of well over 100 5-star units, the one with the most defense is the guy wearing nothing but skimpy swimwear and some sandals. His attack is ... decent, but he does have a bane in attack, unfortunately. I'm really hoping I can eventually pull a +Def / -Res one, but it's hard with seasonals.
For me, as a f2p player, my pride and joy is my +5 Sigurd (still with not optimal IVs) who ate my only Distant Counter fodder since the game started. I fell in love with him during his first tempest trial and I got lucky when I summoned for him (and pity broken me too).
For me, I am most proud of Deirdre. She just might be the most underrated Green mage in the game (correct me if I'm wrong on this). Of all the units I have, she is the one I want to invest in long term (I have asked more questions about improving her on this site than any other unit). Deirdre's ability to use Ploys and her Divine Naga have made her invaluable to me in both PvE and Arena. Plus, her back story really gets to me.
Just wanted to thank everyone for their contributions! It was nice seeing the various units that you like and the discussions around it. Sharing what we enjoy in the game and talking about it is what I find most compelling about the FEH community, so thank you all for being a part of this!
I’ve been thinking about giving her Special Spiral, I have two copies of Lewyn but am only going to fodder one and I’m a bit conflicted on exactly who I’m going to go with. Would be great on Mia, especially since I usually run her alongside an Infantry Pulse unit, and have been wanting to give someone else Infantry Pulse (was building Fae but stopped at +6 to work on Soren) Hope to pull some more Soren’s this weekend, going for greens on Performing Arts banner :)
He really is fantastic. I was so thrilled when they made a dancer version of him, since we couldn't ever make him a dancer in either of the games he was in, despite him clearly wanting to be one. I think I may put some money into trying to get extra copies of him while the banner's up. I've managed to get him +1, but I'm greedy and want more, since he's one of my favorites.
