Hero Fest Rates

It's definitely better than the Legendary banner that just closed. I got a spare brave Lyn from my first pull.

Not that lucky. 135 orbs has gotten me a Marth, Mist, and Brave Ike. Along with a crapload of 3-4* fodder.

I got nothing from it at all. I've apparently used my years luck on getting good IV New Year Camilla and Azura withing 50 orbs.

I got pure shit. And when I decided: I don't care 'bout that B!ike, he's just OP. I'm gonna follow my heart and summon on sacred memories. Pulled green and B!ike came. Dude wtf? Still i'm satisfied

Nah, the rate is okay, it's just your luck. Congratulations on the pull though. Let me tell you something about rates and luck: as long as it's not zero, then it can happen.

It is entirely possible for the entire playerbase to never roll a single 5* in this Hero Fest banner. The chance might be one in some quadrillion,but once you hit that fraction then it just happens. Does that mean the rate is a lie? Not exactly. If you increase the repetition then the likelihood of your number matching that of the rate increases. But again, it is just a likelihood so it's entirely possible for it to never happen.

But what does it mean? That means you shouldn't expect too much out of a gacha game, even with a 90% rate. The contrary is also true though, so you shouldn't despair even if your waifu is locked behind 1% rate *cough*FGO*cough*. Just roll in your own time and savor that endorphin rush for a few miliseconds before your roll gets revealed.

I've read somewhere that even gacha game's RNG is not true RNG as it draws from the server time seed or something. This means if I somehow pressed the summon button at the exact same time as you did, then I'd end up with the exact same Sigurd, Bike, and Nephenee, down to the IVs. If you want to go as far as to take even that into consideration then be my guest I guess. Otherwise it is safer to the sanity to push it all to dumb luck.

Perspective dictates that it may have been luck favoring us better in this banner than on the Legendary Heroes one. I myself have gotten three of the four Heroes already (B!Ike, Nephenee, a spare B!Lyn), and will be looking to save up my remaining orbs until 2/8 to get one more B!Ike at least.

You have insane luck. I'm over here with three 5 star Soren's wondering what I did to deserve this. Congrats on the pulls!!

I got pretty lucky with my Legendary Banner pulls (close to perfect IVs on Vike, Sanaki and PA! Azura, along with Fjorm for merges and a bad Gunnthrá in under 200 orbs), only to get NOTHING from 125ish orbs on the Hero Fest.

Oh well...
