Yeah, he still has practically the same weapon and the refinement only gives him a support skill that, while good, doesn't do much for him, he could already get buffs before, it's just an extra way of doing it.

Cherche's and Celica's refinements are better and they didn't even need them.

His speed and attack could've used a buff, but getting a buff to his speed was the biggest issue due to high speed buffs being locked to 5* exclusive units.

This gives him a +6 attack and speed buff, so someone else can give him a Def/Res buffs (Def/Res Tactic..?), and he doesn't have the cooldown penalty from the Bladetome.

Is it godly? No, but it's definitely welcome.

If you enjoy him that much, go knock yourself out and have fun, seriously. Personally, I'll keep benching and foddering him without fear now that I've confirmed his weapon doesn't interest me.
