Help on building a cavalry team

Hello everyone just thinking of what units I already have that can blend with a copy of hrid I pulled (+atk-def).

Was going to keep his default kit with aether instead of moonbow and heavy blade seal. The question is if I will have enough debuffs to use him effectively. Partnering him with eliwood, no builds for summer cordelia (+spe-res) and olwen wt (+atk-hp) yet. Was thinking Firesweep with chill speed and olwen default kit with chill res. Hoping those are enough debuffs but at the same time is 2 cavalry buffs with fortify being on cordelia and hone on olwen enough with a blade tome unit?

I would go with a unit like L'Arachel for ploys. Eliwood is too similair to Hrid to use on the same team

Though the olwen and cordelia are good units to use.

Hmm you're right I guess anything eliwood could tank/ kill hrid could do better. He was just better at ploys. I do have one but in another team. Could summer linde or ethyln work? They can both apply debuffs and balance out the colors. Maybe with ethyln hrid would never die...

Of course Eliwood has a few thing going for him. He can take magic hits better than Hrid.
But it's just not differend enough

Linde can work for offence, but you might not really need that, since you have WT Olwen and Linde.
Pricilla is probably better as staff cav. She has higher res, so she can run ploys alongside healing and debuffing with her staff.

I actually found one in my barracks with wrathful (+spe-hp). Already have brave veronica and nanna pain staff. To differentiate between them possibly switch to gravity and run speed ploy with res ploy seal. Should be easy to proc hrid with wrazzle dazzle gravity.

Gravity should work well, especially since your team will be much more mobile.

You could add in a skill like spd+3 or fortress res (for ploys)

Build up a LOT of units, since I'm a day one player.

I usually advice for units out of the 3-4* pool. But the poster said they had WT!Olwen and S!Cordelia, so that's why I mentioned them

Hmm, really any calvary unit can potentially work. If you want someone who has built in distant counter, may I recommend Camus? He is a pretty good unit all around except for his res. If you want a unit who is a res tank, then berkut is pretty good as is Eliwood. Eliwood can also actually reliably use ploy skills for a calvary unit. Im probs forgetting some characters. Im just going for an f2p friendly team. As for green unit, Guunthra is amazing if you have her. If not then Cecilia is really useful. If you have a colorless calvary healer, i would recommend them as well. As for who should carry the buffs, i would argue hrid, and your green unit should carry hone or fortify while i believe eliwood and camus come with ward and goad calvary. If you use a colorless unit, give them one of these skills. Its up to you and your play style. Try out different teams and setups and see what works. My own team is camus titania brave roy and ursula. (Ursula has a blade tome. If you use cecilia then give her a blade tome and give eliwood or whoever you use either hone or fortify calvery, but not your blade tome user who will do the best with ward calvary)

Very good points will pop ward cav on olwen wt. Got blade tome ursula and raven tome Cecilia on another team. I think I'll test out the last slot with a healer. Ethyln popped into my mind since she is the highest defense staff cav which can actually use hrid defense boost. Close counter close defense wrathful fear/ gravity sounds good on her with hone calv to fuel olwen wt blade tome and co.
