Hector x Lyn canon?

Based on the released bride and groom units, it seems like Hector's only potential partner is Lyn.

Eliwood - Ninian
Marth - Caeda
Hector - Lyn

Cordelia loved Chrom, but Chrom didn't really acknowledge her existence. You couldn't even pair them off together, and it doesn't help that Chrom x Sumia was pretty much canon in the game.

Charlotte is a bit more "complicated" I guess. She shows off a "soft and gentle" side, but then she has this 'darker' and boorish personality. She loves fighting, but she tries to not act so brutish around men for the fact that she doesn't think a man would love her if they knew how she was. She's actually not so bad when you know her story, but when you first meet her she's very... unappealing.

I would like to say that Chrom does acknowledge her existence, just not in a romantic sense.

For those who don't know, it's meant as reference to Catria who was in love with Marth, but, Marth is engaged to Caeda from the start of the game.

But Chrom isn't engaged to anyone at the start of Awakening, although I guess it's implied since at the opening, you see Chrom and Sumia with each other, but it really doesn't make sense on why Chrom and Cordelia can't be a thing, but Chrom and Olivia can be, and they can get married at the end of the very same chapter they meet each other in.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that Chrom was engaged from the start like Marth. Like I said though, Cordelia is the game's Catria. It's a flimsy excuse, granted, but, that's the only excuse we are ever given. Maybe Chrom's just super-picky?

Plus, why are Eliwood and Hector even being talked about in this? I get Marth, since Groom alt, but, they have no connection to the Bridal Festival banners.

Headcanons aside, they just aren't.

Besides, NONE of the "brides", or "groom" for that matter, are dressed for an actual wedding, but, a festival. I think you are over-thinking things a wee bit.

There is no cannon wife for hector or eliwood, just potential partners. It doesnt help that binding blade doesnt add anything new to blazing blade endings.
Eliwood could be with ninian, but he could be with lyn just as easily, since she neither appear at all in binding blade, and roy never states who is her mother, also, his hair and eye color are taking from eliwood.
Same thing with lilina, whose mother could as easily be lyn as florina, or some of the other potential partners for hector.
If anything, there is a hint that lyn isnt lilina´s mother, since if that was the case, lilina should have green hair, ike all sacaeans.

In games with multiple options I consider canon to be what I or a fanfic author I like decides it to be.

I ship Lyn with Florina and Hector with Armads (...and/or random Ostian lady since Lilina has to come from somewhere). :3

I prefer Hector x Farina
Don't mind Hector x Florina
