Hector or distant counter?

I pulled a defense up res down hector today. Keep or kill? If I SI distant counter, who should I give it to? I'm considering Alfonse because he's one of my favorites and I think DC, aether, wrath could be good. Joshua, Zephiel, and a few other units are looking good though.

Keep it. Defense boon allows him to nuke harder with Ignis or Bonfire, and increase his tanking ability. His Resistance is already pretty bad, so a boon won't hurt much.

I've struggled using a Hector of the same nature, saving him to see if bladeblade lady Laevatein comes out soon, if not he's going to my Nephenee. Hector's always getting in the way of my Infantry and -Res makes Hector terribly weak to Reinhardt compared to Dorcas. I'd suggest giving DC to Josh if you aren't a fan of Hector.
