Hector or Ares?

So basically I have a fully beefed up Hector with +HP and -Res, so not the best but good enough. I've upgraded his weapon and even given him the oh so rare Wrath 3. The thing is even beefed up I have better green unit options, mainly cause I don't run an armor emblem team and Myrrh is amazing on any kind of team lol

I also just got an Ares with +Atk and -Res, so basically the best possible for him, and I know that due to his weapon if you put DC and Vantage on him he wrecks nearly anything outside of tanky blue units and of he doesn't get one shot by a mage lol. I also have less Red unit options then I do Green, though I do have Ayra and Black Knight, I still feel like I have less options then I do in Green. But only option for DC is my Hector cause I refuse to give up my Myrrh, who also has one :P

So what do you guys think? Just hold out cause I've invested so much into my Hector, even though I never use him, or just say "fuck it" and optimize my Ares?

If you've already invested skills like wrath into Hector, I would say don't do it. Otherwise I would just say go for it.

Yeah you're right, would just end up being a waste of so many skills and resources :P

Yeah, it would be a waste losing Wrath 3 just to give Ares Distant Counter. You may get another Hector again in the future. Personally, I think you underestimate how good Hector can get. With Armads, Wary Fighter, and Quick Riposte SS, he has a guaranteed counter on enemy phase and the enemy unit is guaranteed not to double. That combination makes him a fantastic tank and increases his survivability, especially if you have a healer/pseudo-healer to restore his HP. Imo he's better than Myrrh (but then again my Myrrh doesn't have DC). I'd say keep Hector for now and see if you get another one.

I certainly don't underestimate Hector, was my main green unit for a long time, and I was running that build on him, but recently swapped him to the newer Wrath + Berserk combo just for fun lol. But it's easy enough to swap back, cause Wary + QR seal is honestly better on him.

But my Myrrh has DC and I run another dragon with Fortify Dragons with QR 3 and the maxed Guidance seal. Tanks even better then Hector cause of her weapon and both of her defensive stats being good, has higher kill chance on ranged units, and provides serious mobility for other units on top of her own. She's just better imo xP

But yeah I think I've put too much into Hector to make giving him up worth it anyways :P

Keep hector all you need is a vantage ss (please IS im waiting on this) and he will literally wreak havoc.
